There are a lot of people rolling with the TSW Bremmas and TEIN basic's. Can anybody with that setup chime in.

I'm too lazy to search, but I know Phattbam had TSW Bremmas when he first got his TEIN Basics installed... no gap front or rear and no rubbing!

There it is!...No need to search Blake, that's confirmation enough.

JDitlaia, search for phattbam's posts.

I have TSW Estoril with offset 35 in the back and 32 in front. 18/8 in front and 18/9.5 in the back.
I purchased a set of tein basic from a fellow member here, and I was wondering if I will have any rubbing issues.
Also can any one tell me if the set are missing any components or this is all that comes in the packege when u get them new?

I will have a set after tonight. You want it? But that's for 2002 C230 Coupe, I'm not sure whether it'll fit the C240 or not.

want to lower 4-matic?

want to lower your C240/320/280/350 4-matic, but don't want to cut the springs?? now you can. Bilstein now offers the PSS9 coilover system for the 4-matic. It should be around the same price as the normal PSS9. The part number is F4-GM5-8860-H0 .

Hope you guys find this useful.

Hi from Scotland! I've owned my unmodified silver 2003 C270 CDI Avantgarde for about 6 weeks now. So far I've bought some pre-owned genuine 18" AMG rims - they're staggered 18x7.5 & 18x8.5. I'll be buying a replica C55 AMG rear spoiler soon.

I have read all of the suspension thread but still require help :

I'm considering lowering springs (I don't want to change the dampers to keep the cost down). My main priority is comfort with enhanced handling (I feel the car wallows too much when cornering....but my previous cars have all been sporty - Celica, Supra TT, Civic Type-R). So I'm thinking of going with either OEM Sport springs or Eibach.

1) How do the OEM Sport springs compare to the Eibach springs in terms of drop, comfort and handling?

2) Will the Sport springs fit my 2003 Avantgarde and does the Sport model use different dampers compared to my car?

3) Will the springs really help the cornering ability of the car or should I be considering sway bars as well......bearing in mind I don't want to ruin the comfort of the standard car or spend a fortune.

If I could have afforded the 2004+ Sport model I would have got one.

Thanks for your help.

Ryan

Hahaa I've been in CDR mode forever... Just got TEIN SS yesterday from CarLAB. I also cut short the shifter too. Now the car shifts and drives stiff. The front maybe sinking too low so I may get it raised a bit later.

I had Eibach springs on stock dampers for like 4 years. They were nice in the early days only; then the ride quality went downhill progressively...
