Hope you guys find this useful.
Are you sure?? The part numbers are the same for the rwd version.

If it's the same, then maybe not. lol it's on the bilstein website when you search for upgrades for 240 or 320 4-matic.

I saw it on their site and the part numbers are the same. I asked Luke at tirerack about the Bilstein shocks and he said that they will work, since the mounting points are the same. I am going to call Bilstein and find out for sure. If they do work I will order them.

I haven't really paid attention to what the front suspension on the 4-matic actually looks like. if you can post up a pic of the front without the wheel.

all i can say is sucks to have a 4-matic

yea, tell me about it. I cant lower it, cant run staggered, its slow as *****. The list goes on.

This is the only pic I have on my comp, I know it sucks.

I'll try to take a better pic tomorrow.

Sorry to re-post but I think I posted in the middle of a conversation and got over-looked.

1) How do the OEM Sport springs compare to the H&R or Eibach springs in terms of drop and comfort?

2) Will the OEM Sport model springs fit my 2003 Avantgarde and does the Sport model use different dampers compared to my car?

Thanks.

1) Front is maybe 1/4 lower w/ H&R or Eibach from OEM 2005+ sport springs. Anytime a car is dropped, there is more compression to the springs, therefore in most cases the ride will be slightly stiffer when changing to aftermarket (but shouldn't be that much of a difference - that judment is all based on relevance - i.e. to me, rolling on the harshest setting with my coilovers is comfortable, whereas others would find it way too harsh.)

2) Yes. yes.

will a 2005 sedan sport suspension fit and lower a 2003 coupe currently on a non-sport stock suspension?

also, has anyone ever cut half a coil off of stock springs? does that totally screw up the ride comfort?

i just want the look and the comfort... performance is secondary...

I wouldn't recommend cutting OEM springs. It doesn't have the same response as cutting aftermarket springs. Remember, OEM springs (even if they are "sport") are not made to handle the shorter spring compression, so your ride will end up bouncie.

Spring Hat

is it necessary to change it if your putting H&R springs on, or can we leave. I saw on a thread that if your not going back to stock then you dont have to change it.

thanks

are you talking about the front spring cap or the rear shims? you don't have to change either actually. you could change the rears if you feel like you want to raise/drop the rear, but the front is fine

Guys,

I have Tein Basic COs for my C230 sedan.I just noticed my left rear is actually sitting lower than my right rear (I am not in the car). It's lower about 1/2 finger.I checked underneath and guess what , my left rear actually still has 2 turns left and my right rear is already at the LOWEST setting!!!

Can someone help me here?!What seems to be problem...

TIA

It sounds like you already know the problem. You have to adjust both sides to the equal height.
