+1

i had a set of h&r sport springs and koni yellow adjustables on my car. the front drop was ugly so i took em out and im going for h&r coilovers. i did not want to cut springs at all. 900 dollars for suspension just to cut coils? yeah right..

Thumbs up Suspension - Before/After Thread...What Susp. Would You Do If You Were ME???

Photos - Before and After with Different types of Springs and Set-ups so I could get a good idea on what I'm really working with and what I would have to buy to get my desired look.

I want to just go with springs and stock shocks for a few months...what is the best...lowest...and best for my car (comfort/ride) and also..

WILL 19's rub or be too big for a nice set of some low lowering-springs??

I wana do it nowwww....tax return is almost back to me

thanks again guys....

I have H&R sport springs & stock '04 amg shocks; ride feels close to original springs; decent drop but front has bigger gap than back. I have 19's and there's some rubbing on the left rear side when I have passengers. I'd rather have a little rubbing than keep the stock height though. If you could delay a little and invest in coilovers, I think that's the best thing to do. (My uneven fender gap is a sore to the eye sometimes)...just my 2 cents.

no. who told you that? softer your setting is the more risk it is for the shocks to bottom out which IS bad for the shocks.

thank you for your quick response.

well it was my friend who told me and i thought it was true

coz he said the stiffer your shock, the less absorb power you get which kinda force your shock to work less...

and the softer it is, the more energy it absorb so it can do less work

anyway i guess what you saying is very true just like when i have lowering spring on my car and how it fuck up my shock

it all depends on your wheels (width, offset and tires)

Okay......SO

A lot of the selections I'm given while lookin for [B]Lowering Springs[B] dont even show the option of my 2006 C350

Would my suspension system me the same as the C320 due to the weight...
Or would it be the C230K due to it having the AMG Sport Package and different suspension than the non-sport....

HELP?? :-/

tein basic harshness

I'm in the market for some tein basics, and have searched the forums to see how harsh they are. I found that some say they are too harsh, while others say they are not harsh at all (it's all based on personal opinion). I was wondering if there were any cars that have similar harshness to the tein basics so I can compare them to other cars. Also, how long can I expect them to last (distance wise)? thanks

if your in a Lux Sedan, with that soft suspension, yes this will be a rough ride, but if your in a SS or a SC, then I think the Teins will give a better quality ride.

I've been riding on stock Sport Suspension of my SC for ages, and recent months upgrade to TEINs. The ride is a little more bounce, but actually a lot more comfty than the Sport Suspension.

btw, make sure you get TEINs, not TIENs.

Lowering help!?

I just ordered some eibach pro-kit springs, but than I started to wonderer if it would fit on my car without rubbing!
I have 18" with 245/35R18 ET30 rear instead of recommended 245/35R18 ET34!!

Could it rubber with this rear ET 30 and eibach springs!?

Thansk for any help
