They'll likely feed you a huge line of crap as to why not to do it.
btw I just thought of this.....
the sways on the C55 are different from the ones on a C32, right?

I really don't understeer like at all. I know that is really wierd, but I LOVE IT (obviously)
I want to get less body roll and some better handling BUT I WOULD LIKE TO AVOID UNDERSTEER AT ALL COSTS
should I go for the Eibachs or with the AMG front and H&R Rear?
that is a good price for the set. I searced for my car though (2005 c230) and I didnt find them.
They should fit right?

If you are trying to avoid understeer at all costs, go with the Eibach rear and the stock front. This will give you the greatest tendancy toward oversteer. However, you might just overdo it. This is why I went with the complete Eibach kit (tempting to go super beefy with the HR front and Eibach rear) as I felt it gave the best balance for what I was trying to achieve (smooth turn in with a very willing 'dive' feeling at times).
Good luck, and do it yourself. Have fun getting the rear out around the exhaust.

I think the spring pad (shim) is under the spring in the front. If you jack up the front, you should be able to see the spring and the pad underneath.
There are also 4 pad thicknesses: 8, 13, 18, and 23 mm. So if you have a 8mm on one side and a 23 mm on the other, that's 15 mm (or 0.6 inches) difference.
Hope that helps.

Replacement front springs
I was just replacing the front brakes on the wifes C230 and I realized that the passenger side front spring is cracked. I am wondering the best place to buy a new set of front springs is without having to pay Mercedes prices. Any suggestions?

Shocks and Struts
Hello,
I was thinking of buying KYB GR-2 struts and shocks for my 04 C230 sedan but they only have these struts and shocks available for a 03 C240. My question is, would this set fit my car? Any ideas?

funny.. i had the same freaking problem. i had my teins cut and after driving it a couple days, the car sits lower on the passenger side towards the front. what could that be. i complained about it to the shop. i thought hey had cut them unevnly. and i know they wouldnt do that. so i said f(*k it. i"ll just put my h&r's that i originally had cut back on. i looked at everything. everything seems fine. i it looks like i have more of a camber in the front passenger side.

if your wheel is more forward than another wheel then you have a caster issue. My car had the same issue I had my HR's on the front cut by 1/2 coil and the car's front right wheel was off (caster wise) I went to a shop here in miami,fl and they corrected my caster and camber aswell. Do you have a drift to the right?

ok io guess Koni is the way to go if I stay with my springs. Whats a good price to pay for then and where should I buy them @? I tight on cash so I need my $ to go farther. Also I was wondering on the ride quality of the hr coilovers.

Is @ Home
I think that would be the springs at fault and not the shocks. If your shocks are worn/damaged they should not be able to dampen the bounce. Try the bounce test and/or check for any leaks.

I don't have a bounce and no leaks on all 4 corners. But the shocks have lost the ability to dampen (take the edge off) certain bumps. I'm not expecting a sedan deville but you can tell the shocks are not to par.
I regret getting the hr's and not coilovers from the start. I'm concerned that the hr coil overs will be a harsh ride aswell. I'm at a fork in the road and I wish I knew where to go from here...New shocks...or new coilovers...but which ones..?
