i have the same problem. my rear left side is rubbing on the tire. im thinking it either has to be the shock or the coil. so im thinkin about just replacing both. probably getting the oem springs and bilstein sporty heavy duty shocks. anybody have any experience with this or any thoughts? and anywhere to get the coil springs besides the dealer that dont lower the vehicle? also been trying to search but is there a diy on here?

Sprint booster amplifies the signal. So if you are doing 1/4 throttle it will amplify it to around maybe 2/4.

Or you can convert it to cable.

Also since our transmissions have Adaptations you can reset it which improves throttle response.

Guys - I think that the left is always first to rub - but if the car is sitting higher right than left the RHS shock has probably failed on the rebound.

This happened to my car and the dealership replaced the left rear shock absorber under warranty. No issues since. This was at around 35k miles. I'm at 57300 now.

Yup, it's called "drive-by-wire" rather than the good old fashion cable.

http://www.sprintboostersales.com/sp...?make=mercedes

SprintBooster sends an improved signal to the ETC (Electronic Throttle Control) which is amplified or "boosted" so that throttle is noticeably more responsive throughout the entire rpm range.

I know a lot of people use sprint booster but I myself wouldn't trust it. You never know what can happen.

If you are going to spend money to make you car into a track car then I would suggest you spend the money and convert the throttle to "cable".

Edit

By the way I was reading a pretty interesting article on the Autocross and it seems like most people say "Manual" is the best but a lot of pros say that "automatic" is the best. They change the torque converter and change some transmission parts and it's much better than a manual because when you let go of the gas the car tremendously slows down so you don't have to worry about down shifting "manual" and just focus on the course.

Jayton have you heard anything like this?

Need help on Eibach Sways

I was installing a set of eibach sways today and find that the endlinks on doesn't fit on the eibach sways. The sway bar had a much smaller hole then the end link. I got the eibach set 2564.320. Please tell me I got the correct bars. This is being put onto a C32 AMG.

you should do some research before giving out stupid *** informations.

The Eibach sway is also adjustable. 10mm endlink hole can be just drilled out to 12mm. it doesn't make any difference on how it's adjustable.

Hey non taken. I have never been to an autocross so I dont know much. It was just an article that I saw.

Here is what I read.

"Many racers believe they need a manual transmission, if they road race or autocross their car. Road racers downshift before entering the turn. They use the engine's compression to help in braking the car. When the driver gets back on the power, with a manual transmission, he is in the correct torque range and will have instant acceleration. On a tight slalom course, an argument can be made for using an automatic tranny. You put it in one gear and just concentrate on not hitting any cones.
California Performance Transmissions' Lancaster disagrees. He said, "Downshift and upshift timing are non-issues, allowing the driver to concentrate on proper vehicle placement when entering and exiting turns, which can be accomplished without lifting from the throttle in most instances. A properly designed torque converter, such as one of our Heavy-Duty Mega-Torque units, will also provide additional torque multiplication that is not available with manual transmissions. And California Performance Transmission has pioneered overdrive four-speed transmission swaps and can provide units behind virtually any engine/chassis combination."
But Keisler told us, "We have seen a significant number of swaps the other way, from automatic overdrive to manual overdrive transmissions. In addition to the benefits in weight and heat reduction, many drivers just believe, as we do, that a stick is just more fun to drive.""

That's a classic - showing your own stupidity is never the best way to try to give a smartass answer.

After having the sprintbooster I would never want to go without. It makes the car a lot more fun. No HP boost, just quicker throttle response. I would rate it a 10 since I wouldnt drive without it now. It is a def mod which you will not regret!!

Suspension rattle (even after replacing bushings/ball joints)

Hey guys,
I'm kind of stumped on this one. I had a noisey rattling suspension, and there was some play in the wheels (left to right) when it was jacked up. This indicated ball joints, so I went ahead and replaced all 4 thrust arms (left/right lower, left right upper) which gave me new ball joints and new bushings.

The suspension overall is better, and eliminated the left-right play in the wheels, however there still is rattling when I go over some bigger bumps. Anyone got any ideas as to what I should check next? Shock assembly? Wheel bearings maybe? Would sway bar end-links cause this? Sway-bar bushings? What's the diagnostic procedure to verify which of these things are the cause?

Any help or advice would be appreciated!

Rich...
