Oil Leak?

I was cleaning my garage today and I moved my car. I noticed that there was a puddle of what seemed to be somewhat think black fluid on the ground. If you transpose my car on the spot, it was positioned right in the middle of my car just a few inches away from the wheels. I had someone else look at the spot and they said that it was indeed fresh oil.

My car has 106000 miles, and it was just at the dealership last week b/c I had a check coolant warning. The dealership stated on the invoice that they "checked for coolant leaks". Do you think they just checked it from the hood? or did they put in on a lift? Could they have missed this or is it new?

I'm embarrassed already b/c it seems like I'm at the dealership literally every month or every week. I'm bringing it in tomorrow, but what I wanted to know is if anyone else has had this problem. Thanks!

Its tranny fluid. Take the car in...there's a TSB for this problem. Only affects 05's.

Not true. I just had a Service B on my 03 where they fixed the same issue.

Well, the TSB is supposedly for 05's only. Sorry yours was just as crappy.

It was indeed the tranny. They said that it was an electrical connector. They had to change some spacer or something. They did it in less than two hours. BUT my advisor denied the TSB--I almost laughed at her when she did that, but whatever, it's fixed.

Well, thanks guys, this is what MBWorld is for--sharing the info and helping diagnose probs.
