Has anyone removed the model number from the trunk?

I'm curious as to how easy removing the model number, in my case C240, from the trunk. Has anyone here done it? Any advice? Thanks

the lettering is held down by double sided tape.

take some floss or fishing line and cut thru the tape and the lettering will come off. Then take some goo-gone and clean the residue off and wax the area. Good to go and cleans up the rear

I have done it already and to remove the remaining glue, I used some adhesive remover and then waxed that area with Zaino.

it's easy to take off the trunk badges 'cept the star, since there are alignment holes in the trunk, which will then need to be welded up and painted over. probably gonna be doing mine in june

Missing my beloved Benz
One night at 2am I was drunk, went outside, and used my plastic credit card. I rubbed it against the sides of the numbers and came right off. Plus at that time, I took off the dealer's decal.
