Why don't we update the News articles on this Forum?Especially about w203's
I'm fairly new here and I wanted to ask a question. I really have enjoyed my experiences here at MB world, but I have also seen the other "place" and I do like these forums much better although, "they" seem to have been the first online MB community. Why is it that they have so many new articles about MB models and we don't. It's just a suggestion because I've seen some of their articles and they pretty much keep up with the news and latest models. I know we provide forums and are aware eventually about every new model, but it would be nice to know what's new and upcoming. For example, if I had known that my c class would be changed to a six cylinder engine this summer based on the numerous articles currently out there, I may not have bought it just yet. Just a suggestion. Otherwise excellent community! I love it here.
from here (anyone want to verify the failed "free Kineda" campaign?)
There is also a higher volume of "drivel" over there, not to mention off topic idiocy and hostility(imho)
I have the forums bookmarked and therefore bypass the front page altogether. I suspect most all the regulars here do the same. So the front page is not all that important, anyway. Now if that sounds defensive, so be it. The front page is simply not a priority, imo.
If anyone has an interest in writing new articles, PM one of the mods or myself and we'll consider it.
If I want to read something new about Mercedes, just do searches on google for whatever topic or simply browse some of the other MB car model threads.
You'd be surprised that as soon as new gossip, rumors, and news comes out about an MB, these forums come alive pretty quickly !
It's all good !

Let's clear something up, Rick. www.csportcoupe.com forums were started to be a place where csportcoupe owners could colaborate and build a community without all the bull***** and people whining about the coupe's introduction to the US market. That forum had been around since late 2001.
Terry expanded the site to include sedans and other models where interest had been expressed at that site. "I own a CLK and don't like the environment over at MBWorld and wish there was CLK info here". C Class sedan information, specifically the C230 because of the similarities with the coupe on csportcoupe.com before it was changed to mbklass.com. Yes, Terry was banned here, but he was banned in 2004. His forum is most certainly NOT a spin off of MBWorld.org.
The two sites are very different in content and personality and both have a place for C230 (Coupe and Sedan) owners. It's very nice to be able to read through coupe/C230 specific information for new users and not deal with the false egos that tend to exist here. We had requested a cl203 forum here several times to no avail, hence, csportcoupe.com

Dude, the way it works in my business meetings, you touch it, you own it. Build up some news articles and resources, ask the mods to provide permission to you or post themselves the information to the homepage or news section or here, whatever...

Great idea and thank you for being so objective about the two forums and for clarifying that up for those who did not know. Let me see what good resources I can come up with and I'll let the mods know how we can incorporate them into the forums front page or at least W203 news articles.
