Noobie Question About 2005 lighting

What kind of bulbs do we have on our 2005 c230k? I have the lighting pkg and i want to change my bulbs to something a little more blue or purple. I also would like to know what bulb we have for the bumper lights. Thanks in advance. I just purchased a 2005 c230k. Ill post pics up someday.

Ps i did a search but couldnt find anything.

Welcome and congrats for the new ride.

I think you can get this info in your book manual. If you have lighting pkg, that means you have bixenons. I am not sure for bixenon but for Halogen, the size is H7 55watts. I am not sure either for bumper lights.

Btw, could u pls check your PM box

Thanks and good luck

All the info will be in your manual, but I think that you need a D2S bulb for the xenon. 6000k range should give a whitish/purple, and upward toward 8000k should give you the bluer look. Try this website for more information. http://www.plasmagarage.com/XENON-bulbs.html

Don't forget, Google is your friend.

You guys are awesome. I feel like its home already. Thanks

Ok so i need D2S bulbs for my OEM Bi-Xenons. I got that. And 6000k is for a purplish color and 8000k is for the bluish color. Can my factory Xenons also power 10,000k and 12,000k bulbs?

In order to power those you'll need to feed that treadmill running squirrel, which happens to be powering the lights, some super duper food.

Remember the higher the color temperature the less light there will be. The stock ones are best for seeing clearly and as you go higher you will lose the ability to see as well. Maybe not much depending on your eyesite. But you will lose some vision. The reason they use the 4200 range is because it is closest to natural normal sunlight for our eyes. I know it is all the rage to have blue lights but why lessen the viewing distance to be 'Cool'! Safety is better than coolness. But of course it is your choice.
