damn, nice keychains... :p

I had that same exact AMG keychain for my old w202, and it broke in less than a few months. ALL my MB keychains have broke, they're all just relatively expensive POS... (even though I'm using the logo ball keychain that always comes loose right now!)

seriously, i'm not kidding, the paint looks awful from 1 inch away in some spots but u could never tell from 1 foot away.

check out the links I posted above. autopia.org/forums have a ton of great info on detailing.

here are some pictures of my car after using klasse AIO and pinnicle souveran

I usually go through about 6 microfiber towels when detailing. 2 waffle weave to dry, 2 sonus wunder buffing towels for polishing, and 2 Concours Buffing towels for the souveran

I would try one of these products in this order of preference:

3M Adhesive remover pep boys should have this
A clearcoat safe bug and tar remover you can find this everywhere
rubbing alcohol followed by waxing should work but its not the best choice....

IMHO goo gone is bad for your clearcoat.

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this yet, but you can take a hair dryer and hold it on the letter for a long time. That'll help it come off somewhat. How old is your car? Someone debadged the 320 from my car a really long time ago. I tried taking off the CLK that's been on for the last 7 years and the same thing happened as with your Kompressor. I used the hairdryer and goo gone to remove the crap...but even though all of it was gone, there was still an outline on the paint. Hopefully that doesn't happen to you!! It wasn't bad from far away, but it was so noticeable standing behind the car that I had to rebadge the CLK.

oww! yeah, def a good idea getting rid of it while the car's still new. your hands would burn x2 if it was any older haha. a shame i never got the opportunity to do that :-D maybe some day when i get one new!

3M Adhesive remover is the best choice for a job like this. Just wax the area after you use it.

thanks! the AMG one i got yesterday, $15. for $15 i could replace it if it brakes but i dont think it will. The gold one i also got yesterday from my dealer for free, it has their service dept. phone number etched on the back.
the other ones i bought off ebay for very cheap and those two keys i paid big for

some people do. I've seen debadged CL55's and E55's, and I'm 100% sure that they were the real deal AMG's. some people just want sleepers...

thanks for the kind words..... i'm still trying to convince my wife to debadge the car. The looks of the emblems dont really bother me but its a pain to wax around them.

In my country, the 1.8 litre M271 engine has 3 models : C180K, C200K & C230K.
Before I got my C230K, I almost want to rebadge it as C180K (143hp).
Like you said, that would surprise the shiat out of those people who try to bully me

not really because your amg body kit, 17 inch wheels will give you away to any mb enthusiast because we all know a C240 doesn't look like that
