Gauge Cluster MFD lost the Oil Measurement Function??? :dunno:

Hey guys over the weekend I drove 400 miles and tried to measure my oil but guess what. No more oil measurement on the MFD. I called roadside and they tried for 15 minutes to help me but no luck.
Service appointment scheduled Friday.
what happened???

I have this function on my car. It should be there. The only item that I miss was the temperature gauge, but I guess it wouldn't work very well with the vertical configuration of the newer display.

Was the engine off? I believe the engine has to be off in order for it to measure the oil, as well as on a flat/level surface. Should turn to the 2nd key position and scroll thru the menu and it should be there.

Hopefully dealer will be able to find out why.

I was referring to the engine temp. I have the gauge, but I always liked the way that the digital engine temp on the MFD looked. Kind of stupid, but I looked at it every once in a while. Call me

UPDATE: Had to bring it in this morning. Took two hours, they fiddled around with the computer, reset and reflashed some stuff and it is fixed now. (or so my SA says, I haven't had time to test it yet.)
According to the service dept. it was a weird bug where the menu just got lost out in the land of OZ somewhere.

What I hate about bringing the car in is that all my settings are lost every time! I always get the car back and the Mirror Tilt, Steering wheel convenience, daytime running lamps are all turned off and all my miles and MPG info is gone.
