Wild coincedence!!!!!!

I was at my local MB dealer yesterday looking at a possible trade of my car (black-on-black 6 speed '05 C230 sedan) for a nearly loaded C230 sedan w/ auto tranny. Anyway, there was a guy there picking up a car that the dealer had to get from another dealer because the guy specifically wanted a black-on-black 6 speed... the same kind of car I wanted to trade-in or sell! I start talking to the guy and he looks like he's going to be sick because he realizes had we met 1 day sooner, he could've bought my car and saved thousands! His wife steps out of the car and I see he is married to my cousin that I hadn't seen in about 15 years!

BTW- As is typical of most car salespeople, he LIED about how much they would give me for my car and LIED about how much they'd sell their car for, in order to get me to drive down to the dealership

When I started talking to him and he saw my CL grille, his eyes got huge and he wanted to know where to get one like it

As we were discussing what I had done to my car (grille, flat badge, XM, tint, flush door knobs) his saleswoman came over and pulled him back to the office to sign the paperwork. She wasn't happy with me

I figure he probably put down a non-refundable deposit on the car they shipped in for him.

While I do often get tired of changing gears, I wasn't 100% happy w/ the auto I test drove. It had some vibrations in the steering wheel when the engine was revving up before shifting down. The more I think about it, the less sense it makes for me to trade it and lose a couple thousand dollars, seeing as how everything else about my car is how I want it. Careful Jim. This is very unJim like. Keep up this strange behavior and the mods will make you take a drug test. :v

BTW, forget the tranny swap...unless you and some buddies are going to do it, and youre getting all the goodies from some poor sap who desperately wishes he would have gotten the manual, this would cost you some serious dollars.

Besides, resale on a car that has been *******ized is nill. Not to mention to warranty.
