Question Spacers

Guys,
need your help,please...

I have replaced stock wheels with authentic AMG 17/7.5 fr.,17/8.5 r.on my 2005 C230 SS,but they look kind of slim/skinny.Could you suggest what size of H@R spacers and bolts i should get, that they would look flush with fenders.

Regards,

Serg

My wife's C320 Sport Sedan, has that same 17" wheel set up, and I haven't really noticed the "skinny" look you refer to on the Sedan.
I have 17" AMG wheel set up too on my C320 Sport Coupe, and only the rear looks like it needs to be a little wider. I'm thinking of putting 5mm or 8mm H&R spacers in the rear. I just have to adjust my CARLSSON suspension up a notch, to make sure I don't rub.

My advice, start out with the 5mm on the rear, and if you like 'em, get another set for the front. Or if you don't, move the 5mm to the front, and get 8mm for the rear. See what works best for you, both "looks" wise, and physical fit (rubbing depending on how lowered the car may be).

Hopefully, someone with a bit more saviness on spacers for the Sport Sedan will post some more info...

Carlos

also, on a side note...

I haven't bought my H&R spacers yet, but does anyone know:
- when you buy the spacers, do they come with longer sized bolts ???

Automatically? No, you have to ask for them. If the shop doesn't know the size of bolts that you'll need, order from somewhere else. I got mine from Pure Motorsports; he knew exactly what size bolts I'd need.

They should, i bought 15mm spacer, and they provided me with the longer bolt. If u notice in the box they came with, there's a section for the bolt.

You defintely need to roll the fender, or better still shave the spacer, so it'll be 8mm, see how it goes.

No, I've got the original C7 rims from 2002; 7.5", 225/45/17's all around.

So, if your question is will your rim/tire combo work on the rear w/20mm spacers, I don't know, sorry.

Thanks man, but i think i will just leave it for a while and see how it goes.
hope the fender would get worn from time to time.

The tyre will probably worn off, not the fender
