do the h/k speakers stink?
I've had my '05 C320 sports sedan for two months now. it's got the harmon-kardon sound system.
everything was fine until a few days ago- i noticed that when i played certain songs that have a lot of bass loud--but not ridiculously loud--i now have what i believe is a little bit of distortion from the front center speaker (in the dash)... just enough to get me concerned
i'm wondering if this is either
1) a loose grille, or
2) the beginning of the speaker breaking
i'd appreciate any throughts, advice or stories about things on the quality of the h/k system... and if the stories include speakers breaking when they're not being abused, i'd be curious to know if the speakers are covered under warranty (again, the car is 2 months old, has like 550 miles)

thanks for the tip there, but i already did, and found a bunch of threads of people who had similar problems... but nobody talked about what ended up happening, or how the problem was resolved. so i was hoping to drum up a conversation to that effect

I've never had a problem with my H/K system. And I usually always have the volume close to if not at max. The only issue I have is the sub speaker grill is not a tight fight and rattles with certian sub frequencies...

thank you so much for that link... i'm shocked that so many people have this rattling problem... you know part of the reason i sprung for the c320 was for this premium stereo system, and i'm somewhat p.o.ed that so many people are having so many problems- ridiculous
