Squeaky Suspension

Does anyone ever had problems with squeaky suspension, especially the front one ?
If yes, what did you or your dealer do to fix that ?
Thanks, it is driving me crazy.

Depends what year your car is, 2001-02 had weaker fromt arms that are known to fail. Had this fixed by my dealer last year. Could also be bushings...

See Garage
Squeaks especially upon entering curb cuts for driveways, etc. as the unibody flexes. My C320 is now 4 years old, and had "dry" bushings in the front sway bar and tie rod ends. I just had mine replaced under warranty. There apparently is a service advisory out on these and MB is backed up in providing the replacement parts due to the demand.

The only question I have is whether they are replacing these with newer parts of the same design, or parts of improved composition so the squeaks won't return.

No! Keep eating the fries, but instead of using a napkin, wipe your fingers on the suspension bushings! The squeak might just go away!

Anyone know how much replaceing the bushings would be? I have the same problem, though it comes and goes.

Something Slow
you can buy the bushing and have them pressed in they cost like 25-30 each for the lower and upper control arms you can also replace the sway bar bushings while you at it. also check your tie rods inner and outer links

Well for what its worth, my car since just about day one has had a rather noisy suspension. I hear it on occasion when turning into driveways... but more often when I step on the gas pedal at a light. The car starts moving and as the body shifts I hear an "ERRRRRRR" from somewhere. I just turn the music up and keep on driving...

I suppose on my next service (Service B which is apparently due in 900 miles, so nags my car) I might mention it to them and see if they have any thoughts. Although, I'm pretty sure this isn't a consistent problem -- usually after it has been wet outside, etc. Reminds me of my old Grand AM GT... so I don't mind it much.
