C-Class towing
B6 685 0028 is the wiring harness for the sedan
B6 685 0033 is the harness for the wagon
by chance does it state anything about max tow rating? kg or lbs?
The Euro hitch has the wrong ball size for the NAFTA market, and the weight ratings are different, but those seem like minor problems if one wanted to buy a hitch and have it modified.

I'm going to try it anyway, because I have to be able to tow stuff, toys and building materials, etc. When the 'Rocco finally dies, if there's no hitch on the MB, it's gone.
I will be going to a few diff countires in Europe (inc. Germany) come late Sept and early October. When I am there, i will be on the look out for trailer hithces on C class cars (specifically coupes). I will be taking pics, so if you hold off till then maybe we will have a better understanding of what we need to do.
With a little luck we will be able to tow 1,000 lbs and a tounge weight of 150 lbs. (basic class I hitch) can do that. I am aiming for a pair of jet ski's or even a hobbie cat.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
you have a hobbie cat? i sail nearly every weekend from the catameran hotel on mission bay. i love sailing hobbie cats. (still wouldnt tow it from my coupe
)btw, i talked to the tech, and im planning on getting my IMS installed in August.
I was to tow my Laser Sailboat which with trailer is about 300lbs and possibly a Catamaran, again with trailer is no more than 600lbs.
So we are not talking about high weights, and I am sure that the Benz can handle it
I know that in Europe almost everyone (esp the Dutch and the Germans) are always pulling a trailer to go camping so there has got to be a fix for this

I'm considering purchasing a 2003 Kompressor but the only thing holding me back is not being able to find a trailer hitch for it. I was really surprised that none of the local suppliers could get one, I was able to get one for my Dodge Stealth without a problem! I need it in order to pull a small utility trailer a couple times a month. Are there any manufacturers that make one for the c230 coupe? If not, how is the frame behind the bumper? I am pretty handy and could rig something up to work as long as there is something to bolt to. A picture of the underside would be worth a thousand words in this case and would be greatly appreciated.

Yesterday I was out of town and saw an older guy driving a C320 with a trailer hitch I tried to follow him and catch up to find out where he got it but unfortunately I was in my Acura pulling my small Laser Sailboat, I could not get through the traffic with this handicap.
