wow, for some reason i thought renntech was in Cali. looking at their site i spotted florida then the 561 area code, same as my house in royal palm beach. did a mapquest and renntech is only 17 miles from my house down there! leaving may 31st to spend two weeks down there, so i'm definitely gonna take a ride there, and who knows, maybe get their stage 2 if i can

With 2.5" Piping from the manifold all the way to the tip for a 1.8 liter SC... I would say that is plenty big. My Jeep with a 5.2 liter V8 only had 2.25" exhaust... The only area where the '05s lack in the exhaust department is the manifold and cat... Changing anything else will maybe pick you up an extra pony or two, its merely for sound, which I feel the 05s sound great as it is!

just out of curiosity, will a pulley kit change the sound of the engine? someone had told me that I should look into it b/c I could have an annoying loud ticking. any truth to this?

I think the whine of the supercharger is more pronounced
Maybe we need to imbed a wav file of the superchager whining in the multitude of c230 vs c240 threads to overpowering all that "whining"

I wouldnt say more pronounced but more of comes on at lower RPMs, gets louder sooner.

sorry, i should have been more specific with my question. at idle will you hear any difference with pulleys? like when you put an aftermarket flywheel, you sometimes get a chatter? sorry if it's a dumb question. I'm new to modding benz's. I had rogue engineering pulleys in my 330 and it still sounded like stock, but i'm not sure what affect this will have w/ a supercharger.
