Corner-Illuminating Front Foglamp
I just noticed this was available as lighting package for luxury sedans only (C240, C320)... can this be retrofitted?

MJ, I think that the last time I saw Steve he said that it would not work, but don't quote me on that. I know that it came up though. Hopefully someone knows for sure.

Well yes and no. It can be installed, but you have to change over the wiring and install a new DAS program. All in all, about two to three grand for it. If you got the money, all things are possible.

If you ask me, it's not worth it. I have driven a few cars with this option (203,219,164) and I could hardly notice it working.
However, the active curve illuminating headlamps are a different story. They are awesome!

It was tried in my 03 C320 and it was not possible. This may be due to the version of the front SAM control unit. I am sure it can be done in the 05 cars though if steve can get a chance to try it.

Anyways...the cornering foglight is just a software setting that can be set in some/most 203s BUT won't do much on those 203s...probably due to some other settings that need to be changed (such as build date)...

2005 C230 sedan w/ Bixenon, auto tranny, sunroof, garage opener, rain-sensing wipers, black on black
I have this feature on my C230 sedan..I bought mine in Canada, and they had three types of C230's: coupe, luxury sedan, and sports sedan. I ended up getting the luxury sedan with the lighting package, and I thought my bulb blew out when only one would light up, but then everytime I changed direction of the steering wheel while turning, a lamp would light up in the direction I'm turning, and that is when I figured it out.

I work for MB BTW. You just said it in your post, so consider a comment change. Its possible to install and operate this option just by what I said earlier. And if you want to be smart, I don't need to come on here and help others just to waste my time.
