DIY Throttle Calibration?

*bump
Tried it on my 2000 C240 W203, IMO doesn't really makes any different. (since I recently installed a piggyback + tune-up my car -change new spark plugs, decarbonize the combustion chamber, fuel line cleansing & injector service).
but I do heard somekind of sound after a minute or so I took my foot from the pedal.

dayum!
it works....you can instantly feel a nice difference
make sure you hold down the gas pedal all the way for at least 5 seconds
I didn't have to wait the 3 minutes after either

I tried this on my 06 C350, I didn't feel a difference. Maybe with the 7 speed tranny feeling a difference is less noticeable??
I did feel a click after 3 min but I think the click is normal. I don't think the click indicates that the reset is done.
Back when I got the car (month ago) it use to be
1st .. 2nd... 3rd
now its 1st............... 2nd.......... 3rd
also back then it use to shift very aggressively but now it shift nice and smooth keeping the rpm higher.
I thought the reset might bring it back to shifting quick and rougher but it's the same.
If I disconnect the battery after I plug it will I get any lights? Airbag, ABS??
I can try the battery to see if it makes a difference.

I saw this tonight while looking for a million other DIYs, and decided to go out to my car and do it, then I headed out a little while later and jumped in my car to go pick up my kids from a dance... Holy Hell! It completely changed the way my little C240 drove! My wife borrowed my car about a month ago and was a little suprised by how sluggish the throttle response was, now I know that was because I'd conditioned my poor car to suck with my daily commute.

Correction, Drove An '05 C230 Kompressor SS
My Girlfriend has a Dog Slow v6 '03 Ford Explorer as a DD.
When Ever my Car is here and she has something to do around town, She usually takes the Benz.
Well about 2 months ago I read about this DIY and decided to try it for the first time, I Felt a HUGE difference!!! Smile from ear to ear!!!
The previous owner of the car was a Late 40's heavy set woman (found pics of her and her family in the spare tire well), I guess her driving habits were weak.
About a week later I did a full 3 hour detail and did the Reset when I was done.
I went in the house to get cleaned up and The Girlfriend came home.
She asked to take my car up to the RedBox DVD rental about a mile away.
I said sure, but said nothing about the reset.
She came back 10 minutes later and asked "what new performance modification did you do to the car since I drove it last?"
I just laughed and said "nothing, It must be your imagination". LOL
She called BS and said "you did something, What was it?"
"The car took off from the light like crazy and I thought you may have splurged before Christmas and bought that Sprintbooster thingy you have been talking about".
I rest my case.

No - it won't effect your ECU tune. All it does is get your throttle body plate actuator synchronised with the throttle pedal sensor i.e full pedal travel = WOT.
If the throttle pedal & TB plate are synchronised it will make no difference at all. This only does anything if the two have got out of whack with one another. This is why johnand feels no difference. His synch is obviously fine.
