Dealer or MB policy on loaners?
Thanks
Other dealers are nicer. Hopefully this will include the closest dealer to me if and when I move.
The dealership is moving next winter. They told me that after they move they plan to have home pick-up and delivery service for 2002 and newer model year cars bought from them.
2) Each dealer has its own policy whether: a) to provide any loaners at all, b) to provide loaners to customers who bought their car at that dealership, and to no one else, c) to provide MB-brand loaners to customers who buy at that dealership, or d) to provide non-MB loaners to customers who bought their MB from another dealership.
My dealer provides loaners to all, but MB-Brand loaners only to customers who bought their MB at that dealership. Since I bought mine elsewhere, my dealer provides me an Enterprise loaner of Humpty's mix origin, usually GM or Ford cars.
Bottom line: Call around to the dealer(s) where you expect to have your MB serviced and ask. If you're comtemplating buying elsewhere, tell them you're moving to the area with your MB purchased elsewhere and what is their policy, etc.
While it's not an MBUSA policy to offer loaner cars, MBUSA gives the dealers a little $$$ help with the cars the dealer buys/leases for the rental fleet.

The problem is limited availability - you have to reserve a couple of weeks ahead or else no luck.
Park Place in Dallas gives MBs (unfortunately I think they moved from E320s to C240s) to those who bought the car there, and Toyota Camrys (still not too bad) to others.
