20 will fit, but u might need to swap to coilover or air bag since 20inch + tyre will be too tall for the macpherson strut to accomodate (you can also play with the offset), but someone has manage to put them with original suspension. I reckon stick with 19, leave the 20 for E and above .

The thing that I don't understand about 20's on a W203 is how they will fit on a W208 CLK with lowering springs and rolling the fenders but won't fit on a W203 w/lowering springs? Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the W208 CLK based on the W202 C-Class? If anything I would think that 20's would fit also on the W203 w/lowering springs and fender rolling.

I already asked him and he gave me a vague answer saying that the spring cup needed to be changed. I asked him what he meant by that and what he used to lower the car, but he has not responded.

Maybe he was referring to the spring pad. There's four different thickness settings 1 being thinnest, 4 being thickest.

20s on a cclass is not my cup of tea... but most common setup is 19x8.5/9.5 and 235/35/19 and 265/30/29...

yea i most likly going to get 19x8.5 and 19x9.5.

i was just wondering if that was the biggest or not. 20s looks nice with some wheels and color of the car. but some times they just look HUGE.

dont know right now im looking for black center w/ polished lip 19"s. any ideas?

changing the spring cup means raising the machperson cup bit that hold the spring, rear will fit ok, problem is the front.

How would you go about doing that? Wouldn't coilovers solve that problem?

You have to dissasemble the front cup with blow torch, raised it then weld it back, very risky but the cheapest option. Coilover will solve the problem but gotta watch out for spring clearance and you wouldn't be able to lower it that much.

Hi,

sorry if I cant Explain clearly to you.....
20" is possible yes change the SPRING CUP. let me know if you need that Spring cup for the stock SHOCK... becuase My friend help me to do this.. make couple pcs for testing.... cost around $250.00 boths side...

if you live in SOCAL please give me call or PM me and I will help you to contact the guys who create that spring cup..... and he can install for you...no problem... total cost install and part possible around 350-400 i can say...

to lower the car still use H&R or other brands... now i use carlsson spring i think the color is blue.. but not realy soft.... better go to H&R.. as my experience...

for sure if you have coilover you can not put 20" for sure.. I try before....
the only think you can use is stock or cup kit... thats all....

second tire size..... make sure use 225-35-20 by nitto..... thats the only brand you can use..... Please... do it.. safe... possible.... thats why I cant tell you too much what I'm doing.... make sure my concept is safe.... than i can share with you guys...

3rd chosse the wheels... so far i found the wheels the offset is 35-38 should be ok......
most wheels 20" can fit on S should be ok.... 8.5" and 9.5" ok...

so far for daily used by my wife car runs no problem.. till now...

hope by next couple months the car will retire.. hehehhee for sample car for my new detailing business... so please let me know if u have any more question..

sorry if i response you late..... sorry...

tks
steve

I also dont get why people say 20s are toooo crazy, tooo big etc. I mean if you think about it, its only 1" larger all around in diameter compared to everyones 19s. I mean go look at your wheels and imagine 1" more all around, thats not too extreme as compared to 19s. I duno just my .O2 cents

you can say the different Only 1" but after install looks way way better... and second reason... not many people use... 20"

3rd tire price is CHEAPER than 19" ehehhehee thats the reason i push my car with 20"

compare 20" 9.5" and 19" 9.5" when you install on C class.. 20" looks way way batter than 19 9.5" more close with the rear fender...

before i use 19" 8.5" and 9.5" I was happy but the only think I try to put spacer specialy for rear not happy with the setup.... but the car is SHAKE like.. crazy...

trust me.. 20" make u happy.. hehehehehheee

Well i really want 20s on my car, just havent been able to afford them yet on top of reading how much it will cost to get the dubs to fit with the suspension. I LOVE your rims Sinyo1...if you ever want to part them, I call dibs! And I am local in SoCal too. Hit me up sometime
