Arrow AUX Input NON COMAND 2002 C230 Coupe?

I have searched but am unable to find out if any one has confirmed if the AUX input exsists for a pre 2005 W203 with out command. If so has anyone attempted the mod to add the AUX input jack in the glove compartment? Also slightly off topic but does anyone know where I can purchase a C32 shift knob? Thanks.

There is no easy way to do it like the newer vehicles, but someone on here did it and it involved soldering and opening up the radio if I remember correctly. Dig a little deeper, as it is on here somewhere. I just can't remember who did the write up on the process.

I have a link somewhere on my website but basically, you insert a cassette in the player, remove the radio, cut the 2 power leads to the drive motors, cut the 3 traces to the tape head, cut the headphones off a cheap headset and use the 3 wires coming off that and solder them to the circuit board traces you cut on the side opposite the heads and then plug into your mp3 player, hit tape on your radio, play on your mp3 player and walla, you have AUX input.....

In that case go to MB.de. Someone on there was selling a Audio 10 CD with a mod similar to this a while ago. I never asked him about it but there is a chance for you.

Thanks Buellwinkle. I did see your post. I am just not sure I want to disable the cassette player eventhough I can't remember the last time I used such an archaic device. I was hoping to detrermine prior to removing the door sill to determine if a 2002 C230 Sport Coupe with out command came prewired with the AUX circuit as there seems to be no clear answer on the forums.

Arrow Pre 2005 AUX Input Solution...Maybe

Well after much searching I found this. It is a Bluetooth casstte adapter. Insert it into your cassette player hit play on your bluetooth enabled MP3 player or any other device and oooppplaa. So they claim. I am trying to find out pricing now. The reason I want this is because I use an IPAQ Pocket PC phone that also plays MP3's. I wonder if I will be able to get my phone calls over the car speakers with this solution as well....? Here is the link to In-Tech Electronics...

Bluetooth Cassette Adapter

Please let me know if anyone knows anything about this. Thanks

tip:
do NOT start a new thread, about the same topic you have running just 3-4 threads down. You're better off cutting & pasting this one, and adding it to your running AUX input w/out COMAND thread, and deleting this.

How do I delete thread?

OOPPS chalk it up to a newbie mistake. How do I delete this thread once it is posted?

OK, I merged them. Lets take Saprissa's suggestion to heart next time. Post in the corresponding thread instead of starting a new one; even if that means searching for it. Thanx
