C230K sportcoupe evolution package
USA, Canada, UK or Europe ?
does evolution package = C7 sport package ????
In the US
the C7 package included:
- 17" alloy wheels
- color-keyed exterior door handles
- enlarged stainless steel exhaust tip
- 3-spoke steering wheel with raised thumbgrips
- leater covered sport shift knob
- rubber-studded aluminum pedals
- patterned aluminum door sill appliques
I also remember reading somewhere, that the exhaust did not have a resonator on the sport package.

I noticed i do have some throaty sounds, but just assumed it was becuase of the V6.

I think that's it.
I always thought sport suspension was standard on the "Sport" Coupé.
I mean who has a Sport Coupé without it ????
I know on the C-Class Sedan, there are some with "Sport" suspension, and those without. But I think the Coupé, it's all the same.
Can anyone confirm this ?

It might just be an European thing.
My Coupé did not have the C7 package, so I could of compared it to someone with a C7,
but I upgraded my suspension to CARLSSON RS / BILSTEIN PSS-9
so I'm back to

I don't know if the US Sport Coupés had different suspension set ups, because MBUSA never advertised or specified a "sport suspension" with any of their optional packages.

here is the list of equipment in europe:
http://www2.mercedes-benz.co.uk/cont...ions.0001.html
In your service book last page, you have the equipment codes, if you have evolution=C7 code 949, sport suspension code 486, with evolution you have both codes

there are obvious differences in suspension set-ups / options between EUROPEAN Coupés and US Coupés. So Gaiex, your tech specs do not match the US version cars. Additionally, there are NO equipment codes in my service book. We cannot compare Euro and US Coupés.
The Operator's/Owner's Manual for the C-Class Sport Coupé in 2003,
does NOT specify any differences in suspension.
It only lists one spec across the board for C230K and C320 Coupés.
Under Technical Date / Main Dimensions:
- Overall vehicle height: 55.4 in (1406 mm)
- Wheelbase: 106.9 in (2715 mm)
- Track, front: 58.8 in (1493 mm)
- Track, rear: 57.6 in (1464 mm)

Not in the owners manual!!!
Its a bunch of numbers :p
All Coupés in North America (USA/Canada) came standard with "Sport" Suspension,
thus the "Sport Coupé" moniker.
