Installing a OEM sub???

I want a little more bass to my audio system in my coupe, I allready upgraded my only four speakers to Clarion 6.5" 2 ways at front and Clarion 6.5" coaxial back, but I want a liitle more bass in the back, because all my speakers are at front, on the doors
I doesn't want to install a amplifier, and I was thinking if just installing a bose or H/K sub in the trunk will do the work!?
But how to do the installation, or the sub is auto-amplified???
I prefer the OEM sub because it doesn't fill the trunk and I don't want a lot of sound Power!!!
My mom's C wagon has H/K sound and I like the sound, almost the same quality of my dad's A6 with Bose :p
You'll be better off, and probably a lot more cost effective if you took you're time designing the same thing around aftermarket stuff such as JL or even Rockford Fosgate.
The BOSE sub sucks. Plus its controlled of the fiber options. You'd be better off finding a small sub for that space and a small add-on amp that you can hide behind the trim.
Remember that the sub in your Mom's car is a dual voicecoil approx 135 mm and the original one in the coupe was, I believe, 100 mm x 150 mm single voicecoil.

Does the new coupe also have H/K like the sedan?
I heard here some time ago that H/K sound sucks, but thats not I think of my mom's wagon H/K

That one is too large and too deep for what I understand gaiex's wishlist requirements are. In addition you should link something that is available in his home country. :p
I believe he would be best served by something no bigger than 6 1/2" (165 mm) with shallow mounting depth since he is looking to augment the low end of his existing setup.

Is the Bose and H/K sub auto-amplified or it have some kind of external amplifier??
I sold some time ago my Alpine (4+1) amplifier
I didn't want to have aftermarket installations, I done all modifications I wanted in my last car a 3 series BMW and I'm sick of doing that, only OEM mods as possible for now :p

What are the dimensions of the cavity behind the trim that the Bose subwoofer assembly occupies? The driver I recommended only requires 5 inches of depth and a sealed box of approx. 1/2 cubic foot, is relatively inexpensive and would KILL the OEM Bose sub!

I found some pics with the bose sub and taked 2 pics of my space:

Does it work the same way as the bose, fiber optic and small amplifier?
Does the H/K sub performs better than the bose sub?

Then I will need a amplifier...
For the price of the sub (cheaper than other aftermarket subs, and allready with box) I think I will give it a try
Hope anyone could help me
Buying BOSE aftermarket for cars =

And if there is any way it work with other amp, I think I will do it.
I don't want super bass and nothing in my trunk, and to do a box for a new sub in the same place of the bose sub its $$$, more than the bose sub I saw and a small amplifier
.

I had aftermarket sytems allready in my cars (apline and others) but I just want to install the Bose sub because of the OEM looks and clean space.
I have 4 clarion (80 rms), 6.5" 2 ways and Clarion 6.5" coaxial speakers at front allready with the stock Audio 10CD and I just need some bass at the back.
About the bazooka tubes, NO, they are a bit €€€€ and I don't want more things in my trunk
I could make a sub Box to put in the trunk rigth side, like I did in my BMW, but I don't want to have so much work doing that or paying someone to do it, and because the final looks aren't the same

If the sub you have is like th picture in post ten, it will fit in your car nicely. The audio is sent from the Head Unit in the dash on fiber optic cables via the D2B bus. The Bose driver gets it power from a wire in the trunk. You might need to add a fuse in the rear SAM module. There is a power amplifier in the sub assembly that converts the light signal into an electric signal, then boosts the bass. The enclosure was specially designed for good response in the coupe. What I don't know is if the optical cables are in your car. I also don't know if the HU needs some "version coding" for use with the sub amplifier. Others have told me that cars in Europe are not "pre-wired" and you should try to get the harness with the sub. If you post a picture of the sub, or the connector panel, I'll look for a wiring diagram.

Any one know the power of the Bose sub???
I want to know it just to not buy nothing much powerfull and expensive
