I am not sure if it works on our 2005 C230K SS with Audio 20.

the ipod kit has been available for more then a month already...and as the audio 20 has an AUX in, the ipod kit will work with that headunit as well.

...we sell the ipod kits for 250USD incl. shipping to the US and canada...

The Star Daignostic has a new menu for enabling iPOD kits in Mercedes with MOST data format.

The COMAND for this car is not a MOST data format iT is D2B and can only accept the Icelink product or the AUX port.

US modelyear designations are slightly different then manufacturing dates like 04/2004 and 07/2004 which were the months in which C and CLK got updated at the assembly line.

The kit work with ipod and ipod mini

I just installed the kit, and it works great! Sure beats having to open the glove box to change the song.

wait what? you already installed it? how was the install? I take it you didn't have to get StarDiag to change any settings. did you have the aux in before? is it gone now?

how do you activate the ipod? press and hold CDC?

It was easy after I found out how to get the A/C vents off. Not that hard once you know how. I was going to do a install with pics, but I picked the kit up when the service guy called and my sister had barrowed the camera the day before. .... I couldn't wait...

Yes I had the aux cable, and yes it is gone. You don't use the same plug as the aux cable so you can leave it plugged in, it just does nothing. I also used the same hole for the rubber mounting ring on the ipod cable.

Before I installed the kit I had my dealer disable the phone menu in the computer. The ipod uses the hang-up and pick-up keys to highlight menus, but when ever I press mine it says feature not available. Should I try having them re-enable the menu?

the phone buttons only work for ipod when you have the ipod info up in the IC...if you don't have the ipod info up in the IC, the phonebuttons work as phone buttons and give you a "not available" message.

I had it selected and displayed on the IC. And I was at the menu spot on my ipod not an song area.... it said shuffle / random / ect. Any suggestions?

I have a 01 c240 with the voice command/phone with the 6 disc cd changer and tape. Will this iPOD integration work with what I have? The FM transmitter that I am using now has a lot of static and you have to close the tape display to play the tape adaptor. When I do this I just know that it will become stuck with the wire that is connected to it.

If you have the SIRIUS satellite radio installed, can you still install the ipod kit? Any ideas? I was thinking of having both the ipod kit and SAT radio.

No, it won't it only works for 04.5 onwards. If you do a search on the internet there are some options for the older Cs, for instance (http://www.densionusa.com/allproducts.htm).

What does happen when you start the radio?
I mean when you turn on the Audio20, if you are in CD mode, the CD starts from the same point it was playing last time.
What does happen with Ipod, do you have to manually switch on and off the Ipod, or is it enough to put the key in the car, and switch on the Audio20?
When you stop the car and the Audio20, do you have to manuallly stop the Ipod too?
