I have a US 2006 Sport brochure

There is no need to scan and post .pdfs. The brochure is 95% the same as the US 2005 Sport brochure, they even used the same pics and just digitally changed the C320 emblem to C350.

For me this is good news because I LOVE the current look of AMG ground effects, sport oval exhuast tip and the big 5 spoke 17" sport wheel - ALL that is retained. From reading so far, literally the ONLY thing that has changed is the engine. Even the interior and instrument cluster is the same as 2005. WHOA! Hold on, just noticed something. YES! The rear axle ratios have changed. MB have answered my prayers. The 05' 320 had a 3.27:1 and the 06' 350 gets a taller 2.82:1. The 05' 230 had a 3.46:1 and the 06' 230 goes taller to the 3.27:1. This means 1st gear for us manual tranny users is going to be much more useful and not so damn short. Sweeeeeet.

Anyway if anyone has more specifc questions you can ask me here or get your brochure from your local dealer.

Cheers!

-Jeff

Jason,

Yes the 06' brakes are the same as '05 SS models with cross-drilled rotors.

It looks like they didn't de-content a thing, as least nothing we can see and just put in bigger engines.

So, the US 2006 ss model is not this one? (the Euro "sport edition" or the "sport edition+" with AMG bumpers!)
I don' like the weels, but I adore the new IC

We also have the sport pack with the front big brakes, the same you have in the SS model but without the AMG bumpers

Actually the upgraded Stereo is an option, the passenger power seat is no longer std, the rear side airbags are optional.

BTW
These have been talked about on this forum already

@gaiex

You already know we never get all the goodies the EU members get.

DOH! Damn. They eliminated the driver recognition feature of the SmartKeys which you could set to the seat memory and other. I heard MB was going to "simpify" some of the electronics.

Actually, that's only for the 230. The 350 and C55 get both front seats standard 10-way power.
