Funny noise on start ups
Everytime I have my car sitting in my garrage for a few days I hear a funny diesel like noise from the hood after starting it. Does any body experienced this? Is this normal?

When the engine is started from cold, air is injected into the exhaust manifold for around two minutes to heat up the cat converter, getting it up to operating temperature as quickly as possible to reduce exhaust emissions. The air injection gives the engine a sound similar to that of a slight exhaust manifold leak. After about two minutes, the air injection stops and the engine quietens down.
