Removal of back tail lights

How do I remove the back tail lights, I used the search mod and coudlnt find any threads, any help would be great thanks!

is not yet completed

you can just slide the carpet/ disconnect the carpet from the plastic.. then you just unplug the connection on the tails.. then you can unsqrew the bolts.. then the tails are just ready to slid off.. its a 10 min job.. very easy ... sorry if its no explained very well...

Yeah that explanation did it, thanks. And KenzMbz yes I did, im deciding whether to smoke em out or not

post pics before you smoke them and how did you get them to work with an o5? Didnt you have problems with the pins?

I ordered them not sure how the how pins work yet, i heard it can be fixed easily.

you could always just take the tallights apart and switch the outer lenses but you might have water leaks

Yes, you will have to replace the pin connectors.

For those with 2001-2004.5 tail-lights that wanted to upgrade to 2005 tail-lights, the pin connectors had to be changed.

e-mail Steve (MBenzNL), and see if they sell those pin connectors separately. Of course, you'll be going backwards, from 2005 spec to 2004.5-2001 spec. Or if you're a DIY guy, then you can buy the pins, wires, and solder it all yourself.
