Ya know, Jim....
You came on this forum a little more than 3 years ago, and you were welcomed even though you had a chip on your shoulder about the size of Texas. You'll recal that you had several conflicts with me as well as others. Frankly, your recent harrassment of members in your quest to abolish one particular pain in the *** has become troublesome enough to be the topic of discussions between several original members and forum moderators. DON'T YOU HAVE ANYTHING BETTER TO DO THAN STALK THE 'NET LOOKING TO CAUSE TROUBLE? Life is what you make it.....GET ONE!

This is a very appropriate 1200th post for me....a benchmark that will probably be my last (because of the kind of crap you and others have posted). Good bye, MBWorld...it's been a fun ride, but this 'evolution you've permitted is nonsense. MB-Bob, feel free to stay in touch...you've done the best you could.

Well said Rick. Please come over and participate more on the other forums. Your posts are very informative, it'd be nice to still read them.

I've been politely told I cannot express my opinion in an attempt to clean up these forums, that is the job of a moderator. I think Jim needs the same polite reminder.

I browse several MB forums for entertainment/leisure/etc. (as you do?) during my free time. While skimming over the "new" MBklasse, I happened to run across "familiar" sounding posts from a guy that has a user name very similar to one of c230 617's old alias's. After the LENGTHY process of simply clicking on the link to all his posts and spending the whopping total of 1 minute reading them, I realized this was the much loather village idiot from mbworld.
So in the last WEEK, I have spent (including the time spent typing this repsonse) about 5 minutes on the "c230 617" subject. Does that mean I have no life?
Actually, from reading between the lines of your post, it sounds like you simply don't like me. As you can imagine, I'm really upset about that

Jim, have you been issued a restraining order yet? :p

You do have to admit that your continued pursuit of this "issue" might look a little weird to others, right?

If ALL I did was hunt down c230 617, it would be ridiculous, but the FACT is that I ONLY brought up the subject again because I saw him over at MBklasse, and I know a lot of people here browse both forums. Was I actively looking for him? NO, although some here (i.e., those that simply dislike me) would wish that I were. When was the last time I discussed the subject? As I recall, it was the last time that OTHERS here had also commented on how he was posting here again. Has anyone told them to get a life?
It's like this, as long as the dufus continues to crap on these forums, I'll continue to call him out, irregardless of what other people here may think, PERIOD. Satisfied?

You brought it up before, you brought it up again and again and again. Now you state you're going to continue to call him out, great, yet please do so without bothering the rest of us. If this is how you wish to continue your policing of the situation please learn the function of the 'report' button and use it. A moderator will handle it, don't add to the useless thread count making yourself no better than the troll.

Likewise, if he trolls on other forums, please report it there, not here. I'm sure most of the members here could care less if he's on other forums or not, yet the moderators there might care, so please, once again, use the 'report' button.

Hey, Jim...

1) The members here don't really care if he's at MBKlasse... only that he's not here...
2) Please DON'T call him out at MBKlasse... I need to see the mods over there deal with him for awhile.

For all the nay-sayers, keep in mind that you don't like the childish attitude from c230_617, et al, and some of you have been quite vocal in asking about when these forums will be "cleaned-up" of such cretons. So, members who assist the mods in doing so should not be chastised too much. Frankly, it has taken some undesirably "obsessed" efforts by moderators and members to deter such an obsessive character (40+ aliases) from this site, including some reprogramming of the site itself (not going into details). The mods have real lives to contend with and are not always camped on MBW, so I personally appreciate help from all members in making the forums a friendly place for all civilized members.

Thanks for posting copy from our private messages. .

If you recall, your idea of cleaning up the site was not to address the actual offenders, but instead to insult the forum administrators, and lobby that members not patronize MBW sponsors (until the cleanup you desired was completed). Quite a different approach in which I don't agree.

Any further comments on this, please send me a PM...

Jim, face reality...your obsession with trolls bordered on mania and was probably 90% of the reason the rest of us have had to endure these trolls so incessantly. Even worse, you have fostered otherwise casual visitors into becoming hell-bent trolls by pouncing on them because of poor grammar or innocuous questions. Relax, bro...Didn't your mother ever teach you to ignore someone who is teasing you?

All that being said, is there any policy re: deleting threads? I don't think this one adds much in the way of MB enthusiasm.

Nothing on the internet is private, if you don't want it posted, don't write it.

I asked for comments before and you were unwilling to have a discussion (I can post that PM as well), at least a post here will be discussed. Can I suggest moving this thread to another forum?

My idea is civil and doesn't involve attacking any member, moderator or sponsor, my idea is boycotting, why? cause money talks.
Ignoring, condoning, or even supporting behaviour that attacks other members (troll or not) is one of the things that would be nice to cleanup on this site. As delbomber points out, these attacks can quickly and easily spill over onto innocents noobs, turning them away from the site, or as Rick points out evolving this site into a place great members don't wish to frequent.

OK, then lets talk about Jeep Wranglers, in the market for one.

Should I get the X, Sport or Rubicon? I think the biggest advantage to me of the Rubi is the 4.11 gears where the X and Sport get 3.07. Sure better gas mileage with the 3.07 but it's slow too.
