I used Terrific Tint in Mission Viejo (www.aterrifictint.com). They did a great job and did install the moleskins. The job for 5 windows was $300. 35% on drivers and passengers windows and 50% on rear. Llumar tint was used w/lifetime guarantee.

if you're willing to go to san deigo, then go to Hot Spot. i paid 100 flat for all three windows. good deal and great quality. the guy that did mine also takes it off for free if you get a ticket for it, cuz sometimes some tint shops charge you. but yeah, if you're interested, get back at me.

If you won't mind the drive to Thousand Oaks, you can contact Johnny at Conejo Detail. He's been doing a lot of cars from the Westlake Village/Thousand Oaks auto mall.
I had our new Accord tinted with Madico Onyx. He even put a moleskin/felt strip on the door trims to prevent scratching. I can post some pics here if you want.
I have yet to get my C re-tinted by Johnny. When I get a chance.

window tint getting scratched up. any tips?
just had my windows tinted about a month ago. as i keep rolling the windows up and down, more scratches seem to appear on the tint. has anyone experienced this kind of problem? any tips?

This will happen if you dont install the moleskin on the inner part where the window touches because it is abrasive. I actually took my door panel of myself and installed the soft part of the velcro on the inner part and problem was solved. If you do a search for moleskin, it should come up. Good luck.

BIGJohnny, what superduper said is true. Your tint is basically ruined. Since it has only been a few months, take it back to the tint shop to see if they can re-do the windows. This time, tell them to use felt or moleskin. Any good tint shop should have no problem doing this (although it may cost a few dollars more).

It was very easy. Pop off the SRS bag plastic piece(one screw) then another one under the door handle(plastic piece pops off.( used to pull the door closed) I believe that was it, then it just pops off, then you must unplug the speaker and the part that connects to the door handle(which opens the door-silver)

Have any of you owned a car where the tint didn't get scratched? I thought it was just one of those things that is inevitable.
I did go ahead and buy some spray they were selling that is supposed to prevent scratching. I really don't know if it works or not, but I don't have any major scratched after a few months.

read the tinting threads posted last week, last month, and last year,
they ALL address this issue, and most of us that have 2-3 years without a single scratch or fade on our tint, is due because we did it right the first time.

Looking for a reputable tint shop in the Pasadena or San Gabriel Valley area of SoCal. I would ask my local stealership, but wanted genuine recommendations 1st. My local guy went out of business a while back....

I just got the 2006 C230... It's black on black... I did a search on Black titanium film, but didn't come up with much... Does anyone have pictures of this tint on their cars? Around 20%... Thanks...

Whattdaya think? i got the 06 blk on blk sport . Im @ a dilemma to tint it....what do u think? and if i do what percentage should i tint it?
