Nope... Didnt do it... Im still contemplating spending the money... Ive become vary frugal with my money ever since last summer (when I saved almost every penny earned to get my car) that now I dont know which to spend my money on... Tints... iPod kit... performance mods... I dont think I can bare to spend it all... and I also want to wait till I see just how much money I have to spend... Oh, and appearently I like to use "..." alot!...

I got directions on how to take of the door panel on a thread about changing out speakers, forgot were though. The short and sweet is that there are four torx screws holding the door panel on. On the door latch, behind the SRS plastic cover, and two behind the door handle. Once those are off, there are plastic anchors that need to be popped off. Prying with your fingers should work fine. Once all of the anchors are off, the panel should be free except for the top of the panel, near the window. To get the panel off, you need to pry it off of the door frame. It is pretty hard, but be patient and forcefull, and it will eventually come off. After you get the first one off, you'll see why it is hard to take off. That is pretty much it.

Lol why don't you just got and call some auto shops / tinting shops in your area and ask them how much it would cost to get the moleskin done. Go get it done there and then go to your guy, get the tints done for free, and NEVER go back to him again.

***** i just looked at my driver side window if you look at it directly you cant see it but when i was at a certain angle i saw 3 scratches from bottom to top, now im so disturbed knowing that it was there...need a new tint now.. ahh

lol, yeah, mine has some deep scratches but if you rub it out with your finger it disappears, only to come back next time you roll the window down. and this is on all 4 windows.

my tint was $120...the shop that does the tint didn't have moleskin and another shop wants at least a $100 for the moleskin, so I didn't get'em. cheaper to get new tints later on. can't see the scratches from outside anywayz.

I just got my tinting done yesterday for $300 (Llumar tint w/lifetime guarantee) which included the moleskins. The owner told me that the door panel does not need to be taken off to install the moleskins. The inside rubber window piece has clips on it so it can be pulled straight out, the moleskins installed, and clipped right back in, all without touching the door panel.
Any reputable tinting shop will be able to do this correctly without taking off the door panel.

I had my car tinted at the time of delivery by the dealer at no charge. I now have fine scratches, and there was never any mention of moleskin, nor did I know anything about it. I have since permanently moved out of the state from where I bought the car, so having them redo it is not an option. I guess I got what I paid for.

i tried for almost an hour today to either take the rubber gasket out of the window frame or take the door trim apart, couldn't do either. that gasket did not want to lift out of the frame, i tried from the ends and from the middle but it just wouldn't budge. then i took the door latch plastic cover and screw off and the screw behind the SRS badge but when i tried to get the screws behind the inside handle that plastic piece wouldn't come out and i was afraid i would break something or mess up the door handle so that the door wouldn't open anymore. i'm going to have to say that this is no simple job.

I just went to Formula One Tinting here in Houston,TX today and the manager quoted me $289.00 for the tint,(the medium grade) and $100.00 to take off the old tint. He also wanted $50.00/door to add moleskin! This guy really loves his tint. Does anyone else know another reputable and good tint guy in Houston who is a little softer on price? I want 35% on the sides and maybe 15% on the back window. What do you all think?

does anyone know how to take the door apart or atleast pry enough of a gap between the frame and the window to install the moleskin?
