I had mine done with a VERY micro edge on it. Same guy that did mine also did Lebron James and such, expensive but worth the job. Have them redo it or next time remember to ask for it to be micro edged.

No one tints the outside of the window btw. But get it retinted with Feltskin or Moleskin on the lining of the door panel.

experienced installers = goes very close to the edge.
non-experienced installers = leaves gaps.

I've had my windows tinted for almost 3 years. Moleskins too. They looked just as it did the 1st day it was done. no peeling or significant scratches.

Hmmm, illegal tint, a signed waiver? Sounds like you could be a real d!ck if he doesn't fix the problem. Let him know about your cousin who works for the county PoPo and your Uncle who is on the staff of the state attorney general...he might help you out...if you keep quiet about the local tint guy who is applying illegal tint. The waiver doesn't hold any water dude. Toughen up.

LOL!

Velcro will come off in a matter of weeks. The generic moleskin will come off in a month and leave glue on your tint. People have proven it again and again. Tint Protector makes their own with an acrylic that is used in super glue.

Don't use the cheep stuff cause you will be redoing it and it's a waste of time. You drive a Mercedes not a Ugo.

using the velcro should not be a problem. you just got to make sure you sand the weather strip and clean it before you tape the velcro on.

I used velcro and the glue got hot and it detached. I said it won't work from experience. The glue is not meant to stick inside a hot humid door panel.

I would get the tint installed and then apply the Tint Protector Moleskin after.

Tint shops use solvents and soap in their spray bottles to get the window clean. You don't want it to break the adhesive down in the moleskin.

Just search for Tint Protector in Google.

The shop I went knows that Mercedes needs the moleskin. Since I don't really drive the car with windows down, I only have them to put the moleskin on both front.
