Tinted Windows W203 Thread - All You want to know about window tinting a C Class
My tinter has agreed to replace the scratched tint but will not dissasemble the car to install the moleskin from tintprotector. I am going to order this kit and do the install myself.
My specific question is. Can the moleskin be installed with the windows rolled up so that if I have him retint prior to installing the protector I do not have to roll the window down to install it and risk scratching the new tint.
Or should I install the tintprotector prior to the new install of tint and risk having his chemicals/tools damage the moleskin.
I know this sounds like a silly question but I'm not sure which way is the best to approach this. Retint and install moleskin or install moleskin and retint
So should I just remove the inside strip completely prior to having the install done? Or can I install the product after the retint without rolling down the windows. The reason I am concerned is the passenger side is extremely rough and literally cut the tint the first time I rolled down the window.
I guess I feel like I have a catch 22 situation here.
Thanks for your help.

It's a 5 minute job.
Pull the door panel, and install the moleskin OR
you can use the loop side of Velcro tape as the shop I used did.
FYI-
Don't drive or start the car without the door panel connected, as that would give you an SRS error which requires SDS computer to clear.

Am I pretty much screwed and have to replace the entire window? Or maybe the tint is still wet causing some type of conduction between the radio antenna and defroster when the defroster is on? Maybe I should wait for the tint to completely dry and hope the problem goes away then. Any thoughts?
On the possitive side...the tint was done very well and it's the perfect shade for me.

SolarGard HP Quantum 52 - 52%
Update: After doing some search on the web, I found out that this is caused by damaged to defroster lines. Either find the damage and repair it or replace the entire glass. I doubt this will be covered under warranty. Any one know of an affordable glass replacement shop in the bay area?
