Does anyone think any of the W204 pictures we've seen so far are accurate? Obviously the two Mick posted are not, but how about the Autobuild ones? From what I've read, it seems like people are acting as if that IS the '07 C-Class. I friggen hope not.

Would MB really design an interior this bland and Japanese-looking?

MB has been cutting costs lately, (past few years), and it seems that it's the way they're heading.
Many say that the 2005 interior looks too much like an AUDI or VW. At least not Japanese.
I think it's too soon to tell if these pics are what the interior designers have in mind or just some magazine's conception. But I would be surprised if MB didn't lean more towards the Lexus / Infiniti look to attract that crowd.

NOOOOOOOO!!! please please PLEASE tell me that is not the exterior of the new C-class!!! EW EW EW EW EW

sorry

that thing disgusts me. when i was a little kid we had to grow in out backyard much of what we ate. i never even dared dream of owning a car like a Mercedes, it was simply inconceivable. Now, I have finally bought my first Benz at only age 20 (no, M&P didnt buy it for me... although it IS an '01... hey at least i can afford the maint., just because it's used doesnt mean im poor!). I sure as hell hope that the new C-class is a classy car and not some fancy-ricer/new-caddy hybrid-monster. I LOVE the 03+ E-class, hope they arent do for a redesign soon. And I'm probably stuck with my current '01 for 4 years (until i finish college) so I'm afraid that I have to go Porsche as I feel both MB and BMW are going the wrong direction for me (even Porsche is letting me down with these talks of a luxury sedan )

why cant it all just stay the same!? american for poor people, japanese for annoying kids with fartcans / cheap people, VW/Audi/Saab/Volvo for people who understand what a good car is but dont want to/cant shell out the money for a- BMW for driving / MB for relaxing / Porsche for being a little tiny fly that pisses everyone else off because it's faster than they are and they want one too. Of course, this not touching the Italian cars which are obviously for exotic-lovers, nor am i touching the really exotics which have a next-to-zero presense in the USA, nor am i touching those other things that we dont even get here because, quite honestly, i dont want a French car (love the food and the women but not a fan of the cars)

I think my next car will be a poor people's sports car. The C6 Z06. 5 digits for this american sports car vs 6 digits for the european sports cars

I am afraid yes. This goes very much in line with what a recently updated A-Class looks like on the inside. But we'll see. I still hope that those are pilot variants that have been let out to the (mostly online) press to study people's initial reaction.

Just sat in a e90 fully loaded w/that red leather 2 tone interior-the car is definitely a head turner. Thinking of trading the 'ol ladies' car in for one.

I'll just steal his from time to time just to hold me over until I get my new C230 sedan.

I think I've just become a MB fan...six months ago I would have told you I hated MB. Funny how people change, huh?
Finally I bought my MB 203 sportcoupe'. I drive it. Previously I owned various Alfa Romeo.
Well, now I have a Mercedes; everybody look at you as a lucky Mercedes owner. But... but it is as driving a lorry, a truck, a TIR: the pleausure has gone, no comparison with how pleasant, easier, safer, is driving an Alfa Romeo. Bmw, Mercedes, certanly are very well reputated, very solid, but trust me, the pleasure of the Alfa is immensely superior.
Want an Alfa to drive for myself, an exterior-looking like a Mercedes to gratify the passing chicks.

Only you can determine what the reason are for your purchase. People will buy for all kinds of reasons. It sounds like you bouight because of what others said, wrote, etc and not what you decided you wanted.
