I got my key today. Got charged the new price $128. Bummer Oh well! Still worth $128. I would of gotten 2 at the old price.

I don't know if I would pay the current price for the key, but I may end up changing my mind, if my parents want it for their cars.

New 2007 Style Key Ordered
So, I had an early release today from school so I drove down to Route 1 to the Verizon Store to get my phone fixed or a replacement because mine broke. And since I was already in the neighborhood, after I dropped my phone off, I drove down to Flagship Mercedes and ordered a new style key for my car, as well as checking out some of the nice C55s. I almost cried when I drove my car off the lot, haha just kidding. The key totaled in at $118 (wholesale price) and the guy said that they'll have it in 2-3 days.

But, if you went to the dealer to get the key, what do you ask to get it? I've heard many dealers won't sell extra keys for security reasons, but from a lot of what I've been reading about this key, it seems like other dealers just want to make a quick buck and they sell it anyways. So do you just ask for an additional key, or a replacement key?

But, if you went to the dealer to get the key, what do you ask to get it? Do not ask for a replacement key, because they'll give you a key that is programmed to wipe out all other keys in existence as soon as you plug it into the ignition. I walked right into the parts department and asked to order a spare key, and then told them to get me the updated 2007 style. No problems at all, just make sure you have registration and driver's license.
