New C280 and C350 BLAH..What do you think?

The only differences between the 05 C240 and C320 to the new C280 and C350 is the engine. Exterior and enterior are the same.

I have been away for awhile and had a feeling that subject came up many times. While I was typing the stuff in I tried to do a search but did not see anything like it but figured that there would be a bunch of stuff on the subject. The people on this forum are sharp and are up to date on any MBZ (or other cars) subjects/issues and releases.

06 C 350 2014 GLK350
The C280 and C350 may look like the 2005 models but the new engines combined with the 7G transmission make them truly new cars. The C240 was underpowered and now the C280 will perform much better than the 05 C320's. The C350 will be a true sports sedan. Drive one and become a believer.

...cheaper than C350...more powerful than C230 and old C240...just as powerful as the C320 and 280 is a old school (well 90's school) from the first C-class (w202).

Lexus did the same stupid **** with the IS250...slower than the old model, more expensive, and less HP. Oooo yeah. Sign me up. At least the Lexus Marketing dept. got the engine size right in the name.

from what I read the IS250 will be about the same in performance as the current IS300 and the new IS350 is rumored to have 300hp and a sub 6 second 0-60 time.
but you are right...all these naming are stupid. Audi is the most simple...2.0T, 4.2, 6.0...etc
