High Polish or Gold wheels
I'm planning on getting some DPE wheels, but not sure if I should get high polish or gold wheels.
What do you guys think? I have a white 05 230ss.

I don't think you guys are familiar with the gold he's going for - it's not bling bling gold plate, it's the same gold you'll see on skylines, sti's etc. That being said, I think a white car looks great with gold wheels. Polish is getting played out so be original.

Since when did gold centers become rice or pimp (purple car/velvet inside) mobile? Does anyone remember the BBS, Epsilon, etc. 3 piece racing style wheels back in the late 70's and 80's?

Interesting...I'm not a big fan of gold rims, but this actually looks really good (to me). I'm a big fan of high polished rims, but I guess it also depends if you want it to stand out more/be different or just add a subtle, but nice touch to the car.
Another look I like on white cars is a hyper/burning black, although the only make I know that has that type of look is WORK rims. My cousin has some nice 5 (split spoke) works on his EVO and it looks pretty darn nice.

I guess if you get Gold wheels...get everything else gold (that is standard silver) but on the other hands...its kinda tacky...

I definitelly think the polished look is getting really played out. No one has done gold i don't think. It would look pretty nice, those bbs on the m3 with the polished lip look pimp.
