Any September incentives?
Any September incentives on the C-Class? I know the 2000 rebate ended yesterday, but are there any new deals now and if not when can we expect them?

September is the best month to buy previous MY cars.
Way better than the August MB incentives.
They are desperate to get rid of older models, so use that to your advantage.
This is when you buy C320's for less than C230K's !

the rebates are still there, just not advertised.
You really have to push the salesman at the dealership.
Go for the Top Sales # guy at each dealership, not your commission sales guy.
Every dealer has one, and it's all about number of cars pushed out the door.
You can drive out with a 2005 C320 for around $25K

read any of my previous posts....
I've bought 3 C320's (Coupe, Sport Sedan, & Wagon)
+ 1 C240 all in the last 2 years. Not one over $30K.

There have been numerous posts on this pricing subject and the variences. They might give you more of an idea of the differences due to location.

I just bought a 2005 C230K loaded with everything but xenon headlights and nav. system for $31.5K here in Dallas, and that was almost $1000 below invoice, I felt that I worked pretty hard on the deal and two other MB dealers here in Texas couldn't / wouldn't match or beat that price when I contacted them.
So unless they have a GLUT of 2005 C class models in California to the point where they are giving them away at a loss just to move them out the door then I would have to really question getting a NEW, albeit it 2005, C320 for $25K

2002 C320
I would love to get a 2005 C320 new for 25K. I just don't see think it is possible as the car lists at 42K. I am going to check at the dealers though, because If I can get a 2005 for less than 30, I'll do it.

where C-Classes are a dime-a-dozen, and dealers are bending over backwards to get them OFF their lots.
first of all, find out who the Numbers salesman is at your local dealership. Deal with him/her and only him/her. He doesn't care about profits (okay maybe just a little, but in no way like the Commission salesmen), (s)he's all about numbers of cars out the door. Start at MSRP, find out what invoice price is, what dealership incentives they have (advertised or not), and keep low-balling them. In other words do your homework. Find out before hand what models / colors are on the lot. A quick e-mail to their Internet Sales guy should give you a list to choose from. If you're lucky to have 3 or 4 dealerships in your local area, see if you can leverage one off the other. (example San Diego County has: Hoehn, MBSD, Escondido, & La Jolla) Also, find out which dealership does all the online sales, sometimes they offer deeper discounts in order to push an entire regions sales numbers. For instance, in Los Angeles area, i believe the dealership in Santa Monica is know for good deep discounts on online sales.
Do NOT be afraid to walk away, once / twice. With the numbers guy, he's out to push metal off the showroom floor. Mention things like... hmmm i just went to BMW yesterday and they're offering that free maintenance on brake pads, oil changes and wiper blades. That's gotta be worth something.
Not that MB will give you free maintenance, but if you hint that you're leaning towards BMW, and if the MB price was lower, then it might sway you back...etc.. etc...
Last year helped a bit, because other coupons (C-Spot / LMMT) you could throw in at the end after all negotiations were complete.
I don't know about your current location, but in SoCal, at this point, I wouldn't find difficult to believe you could get a 2005 C230K for ~ $25K
also these are final car prices (before tax, destination charges, and license fees vary from state to state and in some cases county to county).

08' BMW E92 Coupe
05' C320 SS for $25k is abit hard to believe. C230 i could see possible being that i got mine for $29,870 on a $34,935 MSRP negotiated back in january. best deal i've gotten on a car was when i bought my 97' Maxima SE with 29 miles on the clock. bought it end of september 97'. MSRP $26,995. drove it out the door for $20,723 after taxes and with a 6 year 75k mile extended warranty. got the car for $17,900. shop around, if it's in stock, it's gotta go! good luck

YOU? I paid 37K for my C240 when it first came out But Carlos is right best time to pull the trigger on a previous year car is late August or September. I got over 7K off on my new Audi A6 w/a KILLER lease rate. Make sure(if you are financing)that you get a good interest/money factor too.

2005 C Wagon (No snickering please!)
In the past some NY metro dealers have been accused of price fixing. I fully believe Carlos paid that amount for his C320. So Cal has always been the price to buy a Benz.

I'm in the market for an 05 C right now...and after hearing about the price drop, sounds like this weekend is the weekend to get one.....SoCal dealers have a lot of them they need to get rid of...I'm gonna shoot for the $25k range and I'll let u guys know...
Do you guys know what is the lowest APR% with MB for 4-5 year loan? Thanks!
noob question--so the 05 and 06's don't have the FREE scheduled maintenance anymore? How much do you save from this? (thanks again)

I went to 1 MB dealership. He offered a C 230K for $28200. However that was David Michael and that does not have a good reputation. I will goto another dealer. I am confident I can get it for around 27k. At this point though, Lexus and Jaguar seem more enticing.
BTW, does anyone know if dealerships are open tommorow on Labour Day.

I'm thinking tomorrow is DEFINITELY open....if I remember correctly, dealers are only closed on Thanksgiving day or Christmas...someone chime in on this, cuz I'm hoping tomorrow is my negotiating day

Would it be hard to get a dealer to offer invoice on a 06 C230K SS? If yes, what would be a reasonable price for a 06, Granite Gray or Mars Red (cant decide), automatic, sunroof and lighting packages?
Luke
P.S. Reason why I cant decide on the color is because we have someone in the neighborhood who is jealous of people's cars. I think if I got the Mars Red it would just bring attention and have my car keyed. I live in a Condo and we dont have a secured lot. My previous car, 05 STi got keyed twiced in my 6 months of ownership. In total there has been like over 2-3 dozen cars that have been keyed randomly.

Hello,
I live in Seattle. I've done a lot of research online. There seems to be a $3000 difference from here and SoCal based on carsdirect.com. It seems like a good idea to buy a car at SoCal and have it shipped to seattle. Does anyone know how much that would cost? Please chime in on whether this is a good idea or not or if there is anything else I should be aware of in buying a car out of state.
Thanks!

Cheapest way is to fly down (round trip ticket is cheaper, don't fly back) and suck down some gas back up to Seattle while having a fun time!
