New wheels - 19" AMG Style IV. Yes it can be done
Just installed new wheels over the weekend. 19" AMG Style IV 8.5F/9.5R with Michelin PS2 235/35 F and 265/30 R.
Had to use custom bolts since the original don't fit but it was no issue at all. The side of my car looks too far off the ground so I'm thinking of trading in my Bilstein/Eibach for Carlsson adjustable coilovers. Either that or I'm going back to 18s. Truth is, I'm not too excited about the drive on 19s too much since my steering is a lot heavier and I'm having some issues with rubbing at the rear. I'll give myself a week or 2 to get used to it before deciding what to do next.
Anyways, hope you guys like it.

Ahh...I don't know the weight. I'm not sure what you mean by pad sizes?
The rubbing is mostly caused by a piece of plastic inside the rear bumper. I'm pretty sure it clears the fender. I'll be taking it to a body shop tomorrow. Any advice?

Spring pads can be used to add just a little more gap between the wheel and the fender to stop rubbing. They are less than a hundred bucks and can be purchased from your dealer.

Thanks guys for the kind comments . My buddies don't think the car's too high either but I guess I'm just used to it being lower with the 18s. But yeah, I'm leaning towards keeping them as I'm getting more used to the look day after day
I'm meeting up with Hakkinen later today. Let's see what he thinks of the height. BTW Hakk, wanna buy my old wheels?

But still, all told, that's still a lot less than what I was planning to spend on rims. I may spring for the kinds u have. Could i ask, where you bought em? And how did you get the bolts for free?
Looks great!

If yes, why did you spring for same rims front/rear instead of staggered (i dunno if I'm making sense).

The type-iv on formula's car is the real AMG type-iv they used on the C32/55 pace car for the F1. They are multi-piece and staggered, but without staggered lips.
anyhow back to topic, they look awesome and you are correct that the tires are rubbing on the plastic tabs on the bumper. You can have the shop shave that part off.
