I check around but no shops seem to have done HID for C class fogs.

Sigh,

4300k HID fogss.. not what i expected:(

My bro installed 4300k HID kit for the foglightss from CarLab. Thankx Darwin

arent HID kits supposed to be like 3 times brighter than the regular halogen stock bulb? the kit we have installed looks exactly like the old stock one :S:S .. not brighter or whiter
what i was trying to achieve was for the fogs to match the OEM bi-xenons, which are 4300k stock right? i dunoo
neways, when i turn the fogs on.. sure they match the bi xenon white colour, but for like the first 30 secs they do lol, after that, it gets hotter and turns into the stock yellow colour i wanted to get rid of in the first place:@
the only thing i dont get is the main headlights are 4300k.. so i go out and buy 4300k 9006 HID fogs. why dont they match?

thankss

those are definitely 6000k. if you want it to match with stock then the 4300k kit is the right kit. I don't have time, but I posted the difference between the HID kits and some pics of my HID fogs a while back.

Shouldn't you be talking to Darwin first instead of taking it to a forum?

No way if it is not brighter!
I have the same setup and it matches because my bixenon bulb is new!
I felt the difference in hazardous weather such as rain. If you want whiter go for 6k both headlight and foglight.

4300K is the correct color to match stock BiX bulbs. Stock BiX bulbs are 4300K and are white, not blue.

If you want some blue, get 6000K HID bulbs. Yeah, you can use HID bulbs from another kit, but you might have to splice the wires. I ordered a CarLab 6000K HID kit and got a 6600K kit. The bulbs were very poor. They looked like 10,000K. I switched over to the Philips bulbs and now they match my BiX

EDIT: I have Philips Ultinon bulbs in my BiX too

thanks for the replies guys.

HID kits are supposed to be brighter than regular halogens right? My kit looks exactly the same after i use them for 60 secs, like the first 60 secs there pure white matching my bixenons > like this pic >

Then they change to that ugly yellow colour after

Powa has 8000k fogs and his are like 5times as brighter than mine how is that possible? 4300k supposed to be the brightest.
(pics thanks to powa) or does it depend on the company?

4k ur gonna get the most output on the floor and visibility, the higher in K u go, the bluer/purp it gets and therefore what is seen on the floor isnt as much to the eye...id say stay safe and go with 6k, its a happy medium. esp. with the carlab kit.

6000k is only more blue than the 4300k, it is far from 10000k. I have friends with 6000k and 8000k HID. I personally think 6000k looks the best while the 8000k is a bit too purpleish for me. I compared the density of the 4300k, 6000k, and 8000k HIDs by parking our cars side by side and the 4300k's beam covered over the 6000k and 8000k, which means 4300k IS the brightest. (many people know this already but you can still do this little test if you do not believe)

mine is 8000k and im very satisfy with it. If urs is HID fog it should be bright, 4300k should be white with LITTLE yellow but u won't really notice unless ur inside the car. Did you check if it's real HID conversion or just the fake HID bulb?
