Performance wise, it light up the front ground a little bit more, but I wouldn't say it makes a big difference.

hey i just think of something, as what u've said, that it turns from white to yellow, they probably gave the wrong tempreature HID bulb to you. It's possible, and happens pretty often. I bought 8000k bulb for my headlight but it turns out to be purple, so i might return it and exchange for a 8000k bulb again. i would think ur headlight probably is 3500k

Diffrent HID Manufactures has diffrent color eventhough it is the same temp. The 4300K has almost the same color as the stock halogen (less yellow).
That is why we always recommended to get a macthing HID from us if you want to get the same color.

hey Darwin, im thinking of getting Philips 6000K Ultinon D2S HID Xenon for the top and samething for the bottom but in 9006, ill leave the Ballast you put in. Oh and that was my older brother who was there with you installing the kit. lol

Sorry, I don't have pictures.
Again, I might have gotten the wrong bulbs with my CarLab HID 9006 kit. The box said 6600K, but they were so obnoxiously purple I think they sent me 8000k or 10000k. The bulb output quality was very poor. If I were going to do it again, I wouldn't buy the CarLab kit. I would just buy a 9006 kit that came with Ultinon bulbs. It would have been cheaper and I would have gotten smaller and easier to hide ballasts.
You really need to get the identical bulb in both your headlights and fog lights if you want them to match. I think the Philips Ultinon 6000K bulbs are the best bulbs. I already had them in my headlights, so I put them in my fogs, and they now match pretty well. They don't look identical since my clear fogs lens is obviously different than my BiX projector.
The higher K bulbs will look brighter in pictures than your current 4300k. I think you got the CORRECT bulb, because 4300K is white/yellow.
I've read a lot of people saying how much switching to HID fogs improved lighting. I don't think so. I can barely even tell that my fogs are on. In fog, they will perform worse than the stock bulbs. I actually never turn them on. They are purely cosmetic. They look beautiful when I unlock my car at night, and they light up.

I'm actually a customer myself at Carlab and I do have their HID's for the fog and I got 6k on both low and fogs and they are brighter IMHO and chances are, the reason why you may not like yours is maybe you did get the wrong kelvin bulb. Carlab is probably one of, if not the easiest place to work with

Dont all HIDs, no matter what temp. their rated at, have the same output colour after a long period of usage? my friend has 6000k on his bimmer and they look the same as mine lol and mine are stock 4300k. his hid's are only blue when the bulb is still warming up.. after that its the same
