Talking some more pics...

Thats how these lights were constucted. I know, i wonder why they "missed" that part. Over all I'm very happy with these lights.

The following with lights / light + brakes.

She's a 2001.

Thanks

Thanks for the pics. I was going to order them this week but when I saw your pics I'm glad I didn't. Looks strange to me.

although i wanted LED tails badly, i have to agree...
if u want W220 style, then non-LED is the way to go IMO...

I agree... And, the fact that it looked like the non-LED's were brighter just pushed it over the top for me.

Actually the non LEDs were not brighter, its because of my camera flash. All i can say is that the LED lights are much clearer and sharper than my originals.
You really have to see it in person to appreciate it.

The build construction IMO is not as good as the OEM lights. But they fit perfectly and have a nice shiney polish to it. These lights are made in Taiwan, not sure if they export this outta here. For this price, I'm a happy camper.

Cheers.

Aren't the lower inside ones supposed to be the fogs? At least on my 03 they are. Judging from that comparisson it would seem that these AF LED ones are wired differently.

Doesn't the LED has a very directional light pattern?? i notice in some picture it was very bright then at another angle less bright. Comparing to the 3rd brake light, it has similar output which happen to be LED too. How much does the light cost you??

That doesn't look good, the top lights are only supposed to be illuminated with the brakes on... not all the time. The lower outsides are supposed to be on all the time.

Thats exactly my point as well. What needs to happen is to see a pic of the uninstalled lights from the back, a pic of the component wiring and a pic of the light bus bars, if they exist. Up til then we are left with speculation and guesses: i.e.
a) Is this a replication of how S lamps light up?
b) Is this lighting setup necessary because of the LEDs?
c) Is there a resistor to help fool the computer? If yes, how and where is it mounted to dissipate the heat?
d) Etc

Just found these 2 pics on a German forum. In this case they light up differently when compared to the previous postings.

Thats what I think. I still have a faith that these lights do look good. And even if they dont at first, minor adjustments can be done at home to make them look good. LED is the way to go for me.

didn't like them at all. They look fake, and the light while it is brighter, just doesn't seem to dissipate correctly.

i don't know. it's your money. My $0.02 is that i'll save my money for something else.

Oops, I was thinking about with Installation cost. Its about ~ US 204 if you do the currency exchange. Its NT$ 6500 , @31.5/dollar .

I got these from this shop http://www.9n9.com.tw/ch/index.htm

Just call the number below on the site.

These lights fit my car perfectly, ( the connectors ).

About the way these lights are wired, I will look into it when I have time :p

Cheers.

Carlos, were they LED or non? I recently ordered the non-LED after seeing how nice they looked on a forum member's car. I have always loved the styling of the new S and CL tails, so these were a dream come true for me!

Where are you guys getting the non-LED's and do you think they are of ++quality?

I'm sure it's in this thread somewhere and I managed to miss it but, hey, my eyes are bad.

looks good to me. Probably there is a difference between der Euro-spec and the US-spec version. The Picture you posted is from a European C-class, so there might be difference for the various countries. I'm getting mine next week, so maybe i'll have something different again

I like them, personally. I'll probably pick some up next month. First priority is the installs Steve's gonna be doing to my car.
