W203 Instrument Cluster Lights On
Can the cluster lights be left on permanently regardless of whether the lights are on?
Why?
I find them clearer - even in the day. And with sunglasses on it's quite dark inside the car.
Appreciate your help.

hi - thanks BM. please educate me - only had the car a few weeks.
The headlight assist must have a sensor? I assume you don't mean that one else I would just programme the headlights on permanently which I wouldn't want to do.
I assume you mean an internal sensor therefore. I notice a sensor looking item on the face of the rear-view mirror - but assume that is for the auto-dim only as you wouldn't advise black tape across the mirror....
I have two amber lights on at the bottom of the mirror - haven't read about those yet.
Will search forum and manual for another.

Do the dash lights operate on the same sensor as the Radio dimming lights? Cause i know sometimes my radio dims long before my headlights automatically turn on and visa versa..
Also if this is the case, your radio display will not be very visable in the sun light...

There is no law against that here. It usually indicates a funeral motorcade.
