Pics of my new LCD/DVD

I just got the Clarion 7" LCD/DVD/MP3 player. It is a touch screen which makes life easier and with the screen down you can still see the track numbers and such. I used the Metra kit like other members and it fit fine. Here are some pics...

Last pic of it fully retracted. It looks a lot better at night and yes this thing is very distracting! But looks cool. The only thing I dont like is it covers the A/C vents so I usually drive during the day with the screen down. At night I raise it up.

Woah, talk about distracting If I had one of those, I'd probably get in an accident as soon as I pull out the shop!

That would make it more useful. I don't really want to watch movies while I'm driving but a TV tuner would be good to get the news in the morning.

Nice unit, only thing I don't like is that when the screen is out you are obstructing the air vents for the most.

Its the rear sunshade.

Im not sure if I can do the Nav. Im pretty sure I can. I've only had it for 2 days. Hehe. I still need to read the manual. I usually just use the MP3 player. I like having 120 songs on 1 CD. Hehe.

I am going to add more monitors but I need E class headrests since our C Class headrests are too small.

Are there any LCD units that accept video input? I was always curious as to whether it's possible to install a PS2 in the glove compartment.

Thumbs up NAVI

hey guys, I got some good news and bad news...

I was thinking of installing the same thing in my car (not sure if it was exact model) a Clarion CD/DVD/MP3 player; and when talking to the sales person, he said that navigation cood be added to this LCD panel. Thats the good news.

The bad news is that it would cost around CDN: $2200 extra.
Don't take my word for the above, because it is just what the salesperson told me, but usually, Im a good judge of character, and I don't think he was just pulling my leg.

Also, usually the LCD panels come with a L and R and Video output, so that you could connect it to anything (Like a PS2). I know this, cuz my friend has a vcr connected to his through these wires. So, if you wanted to, yes you could add a PS2 to it, as long as it had a L/R and Audio output (Im guessing) since thats all that PS2 needs (well, an output as well, but thats not hard to get ->Future Shop).

The model number of my Clarion is VRX925VD. It can take a PS2 easy. There is aux for that. The price is very expensive. I paid with install around $1900. Then again I ran new monster cable RCAs for both amps. I like it. If anyones wants any more info just email me and I can answer questions individually.

Wow!! Great price. In the summer '02 edition of Crutchfield I was looking at the exact same receiver for my C240, except in Crutchfield the price is $1999.99. Where did you get such a deal at? :p
