Remove leather from seat cushion?

Remove leather from seat cushion?
In my haste I allowed my wife to drive my car, arghh, what a mistake. There's some yellow gunk like paint that's dried on and worked it's way into the leather perforations so I can't even drive the car as I'm afraid to get it on my clothes as it may ooze out. Has anyone remove the leather from the seat cushions, how hard is it to do, should I take it to an upholstery shop and have them do it?
She did this to an Acura I had and it festered in the interior and eventually developed an odor I couldn't get rid of so I sold the car, less than 1 year old in perfect condition (except the seat) as I'm not one to keep cars that are not perfect and I really liked that car.

I don't think it's a horrible task to take up...I've done it on my ol' 911SC, not on a newer MB. You might need to pick up some hognose ring pliers through Eastwood and special pliers to pull the leather taught once removed...or you can take it to a shop and see what they charge if you're not willing to tackle the job.

That's it, that's the color? My wife is pleading ignorance, she doesn't have anything on her pants and has no idea of what it can be and swore never to drive my car again (I wish). Everytime she takes one of my cars something happens, she gets rear ended, a door ding, spills something, I don't get it, I never mess up her car. I'll have to see what I can clean up tonight without removing the seat and worst case I'll take it to an upholstery guy and once it's apart see what the damage is.

Try a paper clip straightened out to get into the holes and try to get it out. That and liberal amounts of leather cleaner. Maybe you can basically pull out the majority of it then dilute the rest.
