For those of you that have programmed the norway setting, what does the chirp and alarm sound like? Can anyone record a sound bit. Also, is it confirmed that the panic function no longer works with the norway setting?
Thx!:

Just a typical sound
The sound is rather typical of most car alarms, perhaps a bit better than many of them. It sounds ok/good not great by any means. Three quick beeps. The beep feature is great if your car sometimes fails to respond to your key lock/unlock. If it always behaves it is less important.
Yes Panic is normally disabled in Norway/Netherlands setting process, but I have a hunch that possibly that could be worked around by a tech in the "know", there are many parameters that can be set in the diagnostics.
I had my Norway set when my keys weren't working correctly and I loved it then. Later on, in the process of fixing the keys they reset my CPU and Norway disappeared, duh!. Well now that the keys always work, I don't really miss it much, and sort of appreciate the quietness. They will probably charge you for making the change.

Doubt it.
I have a few dollars to bet that says the tech doesn't know how to do it so they say it cannot be done. Just maybe there should be proper training on the Star Diagnostic System, before they become "Technicians" (and advisors).
As I recall it is in the "regional settings" menu and I believe it is actually called "Netherlands" rather than Norway.
Why they didn't call it "three beeps for alarm" is beyond my comprehension, but then the guy that has to program it might be able to find the variable.

why they call it norway
i *believe* the settings are found under the "norway" title because in such a location it is so bright outside that the flashing of the lights is practically useless. therefore they use the beeps to both locate their cars and verify that the doors are locked/unlocked. i have no clue why the panic button would be disabled... i guess they don't have muggers and rapists in norway? maybe someone else knows.

Toi999.
I had the same problem.
The car spent 9 days in the shop, not consequtively. I spent well over 40 hours of my life getting it fixed, and drove over 700 miles back and forth to the dealer.
In the end, they bought me 4 new tires, and spent hella alignment time at 3 different dealers.
I followed the lemon law **** to the tee, wrote the letter etc.
They got to work on it in a serious way.
In the end, it's still touchy, pulls whichever way the road crowns. But if the road is flat, which it never is, it will go straight.
They said "All Mercedes are like that to some degree".
The 230K sedan they loaned me didn't pull so bad.
I'm trying to see if I can get a steering
"stabilizer" like the ones you used to see in JC Whitney.
Also they said that the C7 wheels make it worse.
I drove a coupe with 16" rims and it didn't pull.
How about you? Got c7 or custom wheels?
I've pretty much gotten used to it.
