How about u guys at evosport just dyno test his car for free so that we will all know the difference. And maybe if we like the gains we can all order then threw evosport

By the way do u have to oil the ITG filters i thought u diden't thats why they were so different than K&N. Or do u need to do anything to the ITG filter.

Also u said that the K&N might be better for the coupe, but as far as we know they do not have one out for the coupe.

I went the K&N route first (cheaper)but I got the wrong filter and they blamed on the website having the wrong info. They told me several months out before they will make one if at all.

so is that saying that they actually have one out that fits the coupe?

or they are going to make one.

It came pre-oiled. I did buy a can of ITG filter oil and it came with cleaning and oiling instructions but I figure I have quite a bit of time before I have to oil it. I haven't cleaned/oiled my K&N on my daughter's car since new and it has 40k miles. I have to do it though.

i got my itg filter today. suprisingly, it isn't as deep as the oem filter which was about 3 inches. the itg is about 1.75 inches deep. also, it looks like the oil is on the back? i haven't opened it yet to read the instructions.

i was charged $51.77 for the filter and $15 for the oil + shipping.

here are a couple of pics - front, side and back w/ the can of oil.

you don't need the oil right away. cleaning will vary but itg told me that 8-9 months is a good rule of thumb.

also, if you wait long enough (how long?), they are developing the Pro-filter version which will not require the cleaning.

I ordered the ITG air filter from the link Buellwinkle posted. Unfortinitly they said they had 2 of them but they sold over the weekend. So they said it will be like 2 1/2 to 3 weeks i hate waiting but i guess i have no choice. They also said they have got tons of people calling and asking for the ITG filters for the coupes so they are going to have a big shipment of them when they get mine in. I think that should thank Buellwinkle for some of their business.

hi

ok, i just spent about 1/2+ plus replacing the air filter w/ the itg filter. basically, as already stated, remove the 6 torx screws (#20), lift up the one side, and slip the old one out. slip in the new one. screw it back down... simple, right?

some notes:
1. the torx screws do not need to be completely removed (i did). they come out about 1/2 way and they can stay attached to the top piece. you'll know when b/c it will spin freely.

2. do not drop the long torx screwdriver... and let it fall into the engine... i did. DOOOOOOH! after attempting to use a couple of thin umbrellas w/ dbl sided tape at the bottom to chopstick it out... i got smart, raised the car and removed the front of the bottom panel... (2) #8 bolts.

3. the itg filter seems to be just a tad bit large. it works though and its flexibility was fine.

thanks for reading and good luck w/ your filter. i plan to drive around later today to see if i notice anything (but i don't have high expectations).

i have taken my stock filter out twice and when i did it i did not realize to leave the screws in half way so i took them all out completly. and instead of droping the screwdriver i droped one of the screws the one that almost coverd by that black hose on the top left. but luckly the screw fell threw and i got it instead of driving over it.

but when my ITG filter comes i will leave the screws in half way instead of taking them out.

When u come back please tell me if u felt anything different or if it even sounded different.

goodluck

what kind of car do u have? and why kind of cold air intake did u get?

if u have a cold air intake there is no need for a ITG filter.

Hey Buell,

You wouldn't by any chance know the product/part number of the filter...was it WB-572? I'm getting a mate to send one over from the UK.

I contacted every english speaking ITG dealer to locate one and only EurosportHighPerformance in Utah and UAD Motorsports in the UK responded. The problem in the UK is that it came out to more, they wanted 40 british pounds vs. $51 so it may cost you more in the UK. Also it's not a part number because they don't actually manufacture and sell this filter, it's on a made to order basis and it takes ITG 2 weeks (+ a week to make it to the US). They use the specs from the filter they make for Renntech.

well, after driving around for a while, i can safely say that i can't say if it does anything. but it feels like it may be a tad bit faster...

however, my fuel efficiency went down again... to about 20mpg now from about 21-22mpg. i will probably change the filter back to see if indeed, the filter did change anything.

My mileage went up since I changed to the ITG air filter and changed ECU settings to Stage 3 and 91 Octane for my ASP pulley. Where the best I can get before was 33.5 mpg I actually broke 35 on 5 mile trip. Don't know what it is from but I'm not complaining.

air filter

I will call them as soon as they open, have to wait till 11am cause i am on eastern time.. my only question about the filter is does it make the car sound different? and is this the best filter performance wise for the car?

There is no noise diference between the factory filter or ITG filter that I can tell. According to their website, ITG filters can take a heavier load of dirt than the factory filter or K&N before degrading.
