Summer Conveniene Feature
Hey guys,
My manual says that if I hold down the unlock button on my smartkey for 3 seconds, it'll open all the windows and the sunroof, and holding lock for 3 seconds will close them all up again.
I tried this a few times, and nothing happens????
What gives????

We're discussing two different features here and getting them mixed up. The manual, BTW, clarifies everything.
1) When outside the (locked) car and no more than 10-15 feet away, aim the Infrared portal on the key at the rectangular sensor on the driver's side door handle and hold the unlock button down for 3+ secs. All windows and sunroof should open. You must keep your aim and push the button throughout the process. (Process stops when you release)
Also good for exiting the car and locking (and closing) the windows.
2) While driving, with some windows and roof in other than closed position, invoke "tunnel" mode by pressing 3+ secs the "recirc" button on the climate control panel. ("Recirc" is labelled differently for MYs.) This feature will close all openings, and shunt internal ducting to avoid outside dust, etc. Press and hold again 3+ secs to reopen the windows to the previously set positions.

IR sensors....
I've had my IR sensors in the door handles replaced on both sides because they became intermittent. Lucky when the SA checked them from one foot away they failed. The last SA said they were a common failure item and most people never even used the all up/down feature. I find it handy on really hot days to let the car vent and also when cleaning the windows.

the second part means...
while driving, if you want to roll all the windows up, turn the AC on and press the recirculation button... the car with the circular arrow in it... hold it down, and the windows will roll up....
