Air Filter Replacement = HP Gain?
If I replace the air filters on my 2006 C 230 (V6) with the Green or K & N will I gain some power (or at least feel lilke I do)? I gotta make this thing faster without spending a fortune (my forture will go to some rims haha)!

Damn...just answer the question
I have a Drop in K&N filter, I notice these things after install
-RPM rise faster after 4000RPM all the way to Redline (Paper filter made the engine feel like its outta breath after 4000RPM)
-Better engine response
-Car feel more alive (HP gain?)
-As far as how many HP gain, I never dynoed so I wouldn't know
-change the tone of the engine, just a little bit but Its noticeable to me.

Y'all have to remember he's got an '06, so the effects he feels may not be the same.
Since you've got a NA (normally aspirated) V6, I'm not sure if there are any "cheap" power mods for this engine. If you change the filters, you will most likely not gain any power. A lot of the 240/320 owners changed their stock filters to Green filters, but that wasn't the reason they felt power increase either.
For the most part, changing your air filter won't give you more power, but since you have a V6, it's quite possible that there will be more power mods in the near future. No matter what, in order to gain significant power, you'd have to shell out some $$$. You say that you want to make your car faster without spending a fortune. First of all, what is a fortune to you? If that means $100-200, then I'm sorry to say that you're **** out of luck. If that means $1,000-2,000, you might have something to work with in the $500-600 range (i.e. exhaust, ecu flash, maybe future C.A.I. will be designed).
It's all just a matter of how much you would be willing to spend and if it's available to you (and even then, if you really want to put the effort in to search for manufacturers that are willing to make products for engine, you could always do that).

This might have been posted several times but the search feature just kinda sucks....well my question is...what screwdriver head do you get to removed the cover that encloses the air filter? where would you get the screwdriver head and how would you ask the workers there for it?

You might notice more difference with foam air filters compared to the K&N paper filters. ITG makes foam air filters; more airflow and better filtering.

There for a negative side effect of having a high flow filter

Cmon...who is gonna notice even 3HP? The change in temperature each day causes more of an output fluctuation. Buy a big fat bottle of nitrous for that V6 C230...bout all you can do at the moment.

They could also buy the internals from the 3.5 motor (or is it not like the 240 and 320, same block different stroke length and pistons?)
