I will sell mine, used once. I can't afford the MAF's that get fouled by the oil residue.

PS. I bought the M111 engine filter it was like 15.64 new
I didn't see a KN unit listed for the M111 motor on KN site.

Not that I'd want it, as stated oil and MAF issues.
But to each his own.

KN Filter 15 bucks.
Troubleshooting to find the MAF is bad- 200?
New MAF - $350-400

Laughing my as_s off at pointlessly oil based filters that can mess up your car- Priceless

(Pointless as in they provide no dyno proven performance increase, and regular paper filters are like 10 bucks each, and no messy soaking or cleaning AND it took 2 complete disassemblies of the intake system, including the IC and all hoses to get rid of all the oil left by my ITG filter.
Fortunately it was all warranty work, since I swapped the filter before taking the car in.)

But everyone says the KN are different. So what do I know?

Stock filters also filter smaller particles that slip through the ITG and KN, so that means longer engine life....hopefully.

I got free shipping. Just indicated that I wanted regular ground and it subtracted the shipping amount. Why is everyone indicating they paid for shipping?

Despite the "issues" people have had with their K&N's, I haven't had any major issues...then again, my car still needs to be re-tuned...

I took the standard shipping and it charged me $5 and change. Oh well.

I think the others are having issues with their filters because they didn't zip tie them in place correctly like you did!

K and N filters cost me $240 to repair

I just posted this on another thread about my K and N filter problems...

I installed them on my 2004 C240 about a year ago and a month later it ran rough. I took it into the dealer (Smythe European) and they charged me $240to clean my MAF and replaced air filters since the k and n's voided the warranty.

Another thread gave me the K and N MAF statement and consumer protection pledge with a phone number. I called it and made a claim. K an N service was really nice and got all my info about it. I doubt if I'll get any money back but you never know?? I let you guys know the outcome of my claim asap.

Dave
